  • they need to put this on dvd

  • Off sync

  • Saw STP last summer, They sounded awesome and Scott was really lookin healthy!

  • Is that a rocking chair?? Ah but what a voice..

  • It's awesome!

  • My second video with 100K views, thanks so much everybody :D this song is just as timeless as it was when I posted it.

  • No matter how cracked out Scott is, he voice still sounds beautiful. I wished he stayed looking like this, though. Now he resembles Bowie.

  • @Blurred2291 I agree, WTF is up with that? I know Weiland has had substance abuse problems in the past. Hopefully he has tamed his inner demons. You don't hear much from him in the media. I heard him say in an interview on mtv that he is a very private person.

  • @Metalmanmania357 I assumed that too.. until he published a his life story. Have you read that? He really goes into detail

  • @Blurred2291 No kidding! I have not heard of that one yet. I have always loved STP though. I bought Core in 92 and been loving them ever since.Has it been out a long time? Was it a good read? I read David Lee Roths book (Crazy from the Heat), Maralyn Mansons (Long hard road out of Hell) and Motley Crews (Dirt) They were all equally entertaining. Some crazy storys dude indeed.

  • @Metalmanmania357 No, it hasn't. It came out this past spring - I actually went to the book signing to see him talk. Got a signed copy of the book which was pretty rad. The only down side was that I had to wait three hours before he came out. Typical Scott behavior, though. If you are a true STP fan.. you definitely have to read it!!!

  • @Blurred2291 your killing me ....ha ha, I will buy it asap now

  • they came out with a shit ton of good music after this...with plenty of bomb performances...scott can still pull a good show (just saw one a couple summers ago) its just the motions of life that can get a musician down for certain performances, not one person can go 100 percent all the time...weiland rules!!!

  • love Weiland and stp He still sounds great But here he sounded immaculate

  • the best he's ever looked and sounded...mmmm what a sexy piece of ass!!!

  • the sync is off by a sec or so....

  • this was a great performance.. i do wish that they had waited till after purple to do this show, it would have been great to hear some more songs, it was a very short set. actually they still could and should do another unplugged show! anyway cheers to all my fellow lovers of 90's grunge!

  • Look how healthy he looks here. If that isnt reason enough to stay off drugs I dont know what is. Wow! It's been a while since I remembered Scott looking like this. Really sad.

  • The lips are off.

  • SCOTT I WANT YOU TO UNLEASH THE CHAINS THAT BIND ME....:)

  • can you feel like a child ??

can you see what i want ! ?

    VIVA EL ROCK !!

  • this makes my head hurt

  • he looks so different from now, heroin is one hell of a drug

  • @AronHallan You copied this from the top comment on plush acoustic

  • @greendaybulldog2 what are you? youtube patrol?

  • @AronHallan No... it's just stupid whenever you have to copy someones top comment instead of thinking of your own

  • @AronHallan

Heroin didn't affect him nearly as much as everyone thinks it did, he was very young in '93 and age catches up fast. You wanna see how a heroin addiction can alter our bodies, go look at some pics. of our friend Layne Staley.

  • The sound & vid don't match up .

  • @themusicmatterz unfortunately not anymore

  • He was high as hell that night! spot on vocals Scot

  • @guitarlvrify how u know?????????????????

  • that bass was plugged

  • oh my. this is even better than the studio version! Perfect.

  • best song live X)

  • try to pin down the exact year Weiland face changed..it's weird eh?

  • @petefaders no,1995

  • is there a cd called stone temple pilots unplugged that i can buy or somthing?? can somone please tell me? if so that would be awesome thanks.

  • That chorus rendition is absolutely brilliant. Spiritual, mystical, and psychadelic. Something only the 90's could have created. Love the original chorus, Dean Deleo's guitar riff almost sounds like 311's Tim Mahoney style, but something about this chorus, especially the ritardondo at the end is just simply magical and really moves the soul. Beautiful. Long live STP and the 60's, 70,s & 90's.

  • i need to learn how to play this!

  • Who's the other guy on guitar and who's the other guy on percussions? The guys that AREN'T Dean and Eric.

  • @ComaAlpha The guy on guitar is Shannon Hoon. The guy on percussion is Artimus Pyle.

  • @JohnLawrenceCobraKai You mean the lead singer for Blind Melon?

  • @ComaAlpha I mean the former lead singer for Blind Melon.

  • @JohnLawrenceCobraKai details, details. You know what I meant

  • @JohnLawrenceCobraKai no way that is Shannon Hoon. Doesn't really look like him at all.

  • @JohnLawrenceCobraKai are you sure artimus pyle? Artimus is Skynyrds former drummer, maybe this guy has the same name?

  • @promarkprosmart Artimus Pyle left Skynyrd to play for STP. It's a well know fact.

  • @JohnLawrenceCobraKai not trying to start an argument although I am very interested in the well known facts because after the plane crash Artimus started the Artimus Pyle band and then rejoined with skynyrd in the 80s and then left again to go study in jerusalem and got into some sex charges with his daughters at some point or another hes just a solo artist now pretty much, Eric Kretz has been Stps drummer other than the original drummer David Allin but that was when they were mighty joe young

  • Sounds great, the 90's were a great time to be growing up.Generation X,the Xtc in the early 90's,grunge and the best bands in the mid 90's,why the Hell MTV don't do unplugged anymore is beyond me,even Bruce Springstein was cool lol.Is this weilands natural hair colour? Never remember him being a red head?

  • Não acho esse CD em nenhum lugar, alguém sabe onde vende na internet?

  • He&^ to the YEAH!

  • What a singer! What a band!!

  • I absolutely love all of the bands from the grunge era; Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP, Pearl Jam, AIC. I was in high school during the early '90's and absolutely hated big hair rock and then I heard "Smells like Teen Spirit" on the way to school one day and I said now this is friggin' music! But, STP sounds the best unplugged, hands down in my opinion. Scott Weiland & Co. are absolutely wonderful musicians. Scott and Lane were the two best vocalists of the era. What a shame about Lane :(

  • @ncheel231976 Spelt his name wrong, it's Layne. That was disrespectful

  • I like a lot your list. Did you think in spanish speakers when you uploaded Don't look back on anger with subtitles?. The movie of this title (with Richard Burton) people say is in the origin of street conflicts in England (now, in the 90?s, al late 70's with Thatcher...) I reallylike Queens of the stone Age ( from USA, I think) Saludos

  • I wish Scott would've stayed like this.

  • @PPno9 Well herion addiction will make your body wither away.

  • It's so wrong to see Scott sitting down on this song, knowing that he wants to be up and dancing around. You can just see it in his face! he's like in a stray jacket in that chair. Fuck! amazing vocals and sound though!

  • Benn a fan since Core. Gonna see them in concert for the 1st time Aug. 9th

  • Oh yeah and can't forget Andy from Mother Love bone... RIP all you gloriously tallented musicians we lost along the way. Thank you for the truely beautiful art you enriched the world with beofer you died. Modern Music has a LONG way to go before it come anywhere NEAR the level of tallent we saw in the 90's... I wish MTV still did "Unplugged" (hell I wish they een played music anymore eh)

  • I'm seeing STP on Aug. 10, it'll be my 2nd time seeing them. Is it me or does Scott's voice not sound the same?

  • @GrungeOfThe1990s Scott's voice doesnt sound the same, but thats good, if it did sound the same then trust me, it would be boring hearing the same tone of voice for the last 20 years. I just saw then 2 days ago 7/25/11, in williamsburg brooklyn, NY. They were phenominal, i was in the very front going crazy. Dean kept on looking at me and laughing. Trust me, your in for a good show, i wish i could see them august 10th. You lucky bastard!!!!!

  • This was THE best era of music... I'm biased cause I was a mezmerized teenager then, but it's AMAZING how many legendary bands were born then... Not since the 60's and 70's has so much quality come out...

  • @4rescue so damn true..............

  • @dettwideo Right on bro... I really love the 90's... I mean yeah there are some great bands out there right now (my Morning Jacket, the Black Keys, Arcade Fire to name a few) but it's NOTHING like the sea of amazing bands that were all performing and in general making music history in the 90's... Scott Wieland, Eddy Vedder, Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain... they were all true LEGENDS. Too bad we lost Kurt, Layne and Shannon Hoon, but hey at least we got to see them shine before they went eh.

  • w w w . rocking on the river in blind river . ca

  • This was when Scott was free from drugs. Long live STP

  • @MrJoaolayne

ummm, are you sure about that? i've watched these videos countless times... i think his eyes say otherwise (notice how incredibly black they are?), he rarely looks at the camera, plus he was really fidgety. Either way, he sounds awesome in this performance. It's just too bad i have it spread out on 2-3 different video tapes

  • What kind of guitar is the bassist playing?

  • Jesus, this is like a stampede thrashing towards you and blowing you away

  • i was only 6 days old whenever this was recorded lol i missed out 0_o

  • goddamn. weiland is flawless.

  • Sounds more agressive in unplugged than the original track. Thanks for sharing this amazing song.

  • Some jackass said he sounds like cher when he sings, what a f'n moron. 69zenos, check his page out, his band sucks major ass!! I told him to do the public a favor and stop performing...lol

  • does the Thank You dvd have the whole unplugged concert on it? and also is this the place in newyork where nirvana did their unplugged set? plz answer!!

  • @mrguitarman151 no it doesn't have the full concert, just this song from the mtv unplugged, but get the dvd anyway it's fucking great

  • PS: Robert DeLeo looks like Danny Tanner here.

  • Faaaaaaaaaantastic. Beautiful. There aren't enough words.

  • damn there jammin

  • his voice sounds so good that you just might think he's doing playback! i love this guy!

  • @feliutza Scott is one of the best damn vocalists ever in this history of music. he has a wide variety, and he's good to amazing and all of them.

  • love it. love it .love it.

  • I love you thanks for posting!!

  • the extra guitar player looks like adam jones? and the extra drummer dave grohl?

  • what is the complete setlist ????

  • @korvanallica Set List:

    01. Crackerman

    02. Creep

    03. Andy Warhol (David Bowie cover)

    04. Plush

    05. Big Empty

    06. Sin

    07. Wicked Garden

    08. Sex Type Thing

Recorded 11/17/93 at Sony Music Studios - New York

  • @DieHardGardenFan I have it different, starting with Crackerman, creep, plush, wicked graden, andy warhol, big empty, sex type thing, son, kitchenware and candybars, pretty penny

  • @krigerweiland You probably have their "Uplugged & More" CD. They never performed Kitchenware & Candybars or Pretty Penny on the night of MTV Unplugged, they did it sometime after that performance.

  • @DieHardGardenFan thanks dudee!

  • @DieHardGardenFan Was 'Sin' on that DVD? I cant find the unplugged version on youtube.

  • @Chesenips980 &Yup, and I can't find it either :( I'm still looking though.

  • @DieHardGardenFan unfortunately that recording will never surface. MTV fucked up the original audio recording and never recorded it on tape. very very tragic. wish i couldve heard it.

  • @DieHardGardenFan Do you know if you can buy it on dvd?

  • @DieHardGardenFan So sad the audio from "Sin" is lost forever. I bet it sounded amazing like the rest of the songs.

  • @thebystander oh nvm,you already know this. disregard my comment.

  • @DieHardGardenFan you missed interstate love song....

  • @DieHardGardenFan Core the best disc of Stone Temple

  • I want to play in your wicked garden

  • Even unplugged without amps and shit this song still fucking rocks. Stone Temple Pilots is just one of those bands that will live on forever. nothing but pure talent.

  • They need to put all of these Unplugged gigs on a DVD collection cause there really isn't a shitty performance of any band who was on Unplugged

  • Long live the early 90's

  • This kills so much music 2 day !!Epic

  • i taped this off of MTV at the time... awesome performance, it's all on DVD now? i need to replace my random VHS tapings... they're all over the place & it would be nice to have them in 1 source.

  • @pessimystica I don't think they are for sale; if you find a DVD please let me know!

  • thatsoundis TIMELESS

  • Thanks for posting - just incredible.
