& it *is* an old tune - according to Wiki at least - "a traditional folk song first known in the Appalachian Mountains region of United States in 1915, but most probably originated from Scotland" (i.e. before 1915).

This was actually an old Scottish song about a man and it was supposed to be sung by a woman. At one part in the original song the the singer talks about how strong her lover's hands are-strong hands are not exactly a girly trait. I'm not sure why Dillon changed the lyrics. I guess she did it because she knew it would gives some a cheap thrill-lol
