I saw your article in dogslife a while ago and have tried looking into canine freestyle for my own puppy (now 9 months) in the Perth area but i cant find a thing, perhaps i should go it alone, any tips?? Is clicker training the be all and end all of freestyle?? I havent been using it in trick training so far! He is a very food responsive boy!!!

Thanks - yes, have had Honey since 8 weeks - my first dog. All dogs (breeds) are "smart" if you put in the time, effort & patience to train them and find the right methods for their personality. Big breeds like Danes often don't get to show their potential coz people write them off as slow, clumsy couch potatoes before giving them a chance...she changes sides because I have taught her to follow my cue when I change my legs/hands - and then it's lots of patient practice! :-)
