1986...was a very important year in my life, and I was deeply in Love...with a very special Lady(my ex-wife) and my 5 wonderful kids...I would later have 2 more beautiful daughters, making it 5 daughters and 2 sons...By 1990 we had split-up, but for 32 years "my/our Love", never faded...She passed away in 2008 I have truly been blessed, this time...

She was such a beautiful person, and lady I could listen to her songs for hours. She spoke of an undying love in her life, but her partner didn't seem to understand the desires of her heart! With all that was going on in her life she sung about it in her songs, but who was really listening. The world lost a beautiful songbird, way before her time.

1986...was a very important year in my life, and I was deeply in Love...with a very special Lady(my ex-wife) and my 5 wonderful kids...I would later have 2 more beautiful daughters, making it 5 daughters and 2 sons...By 1990 we had split-up, but for 32 years "my/our Love", never faded...She passed away in 2008 I have truly been blessed, this time...

I love all Phyllis Hyman's songs, she speaks of a love rare to most people but sincere and deep down in your heart and soul. She was such a beautiful person, and lady I could listen to her songs for hours. She spoke of an undying love in her life, but her partner didn't seem to understand the desires of her heart! With all that was going on in her life she sung about it in her songs, but who was really listening. The world lost a beautiful songbird, way before her time.

I cant listen 2 this without damn near tearing up! This song is beyond words. 7 minutes is 2 short if u ask me!!!! I have yet 2 hear an artist come close 2 this level! Well 2 be fair, there are a couple, if they could break away from the MUSIC BUSINESS bullshit part and really be allowed 2 sing! However, Phyllis was in a class 2 herself! R.I.P. sweet lady! We still miss u!

@Ibantar I absolutely agree. Maybe only Jean Carne among her contemporaries could match a vocal performance like this. In fact it was hearing this particular track that persuaded me to finally buy a CD player. I just had to have it.
