@idchop From a quick research, all sources say they are still democratic, with maybe a couple of republicans. The majority is by far democrat and up through the civil rights movement in the 1960s they opposed it in congress but the republicans won out. I think there's a rumor that JFK was shot for going against his party on this stance, and republicans still got to put civil rights in against the dems wishes.
