@ctcraam Sound doesn't really mean anything on the internet. Could just be the sound of a turbo diesel doing a burnout dubbed over a video of a corvette doing a burnout. Its pretty simple.

I'm not saying it is or it isn't, I'm just saying there isn't really a way to be sure unless you see the actual motor. Plus, it would just be bad ass to see a big turbo diesel shoved into the front of a corvette.

At the beginning of the video when it starts to do the burnout, you can see the front of the car rise up like power is going to the rear wheels, but there is NO sound. Then all the sudden when the tires start spinning, there is sound. Also, the volume of the engine sounds keep changing, like the camera is moving around the car, while the camera is perfectly still. But to answer your question, yes. Its the internet, people will do anything.

the right running diesel wont smoke, they tune it to do that, its just unburned fuel. the reason its fake is becuase you cant fit a diesel like that in a vette, its too high and too long.

Black smoke = unburned fuel wich means too much fuel or not enough air. turbo lag could be one result of smoke initially. poor timing. too many things to list. oh and stock diesels do smoke, just bog the engine if you can figure that out.

But I have not seen one high powered diesel that is tuned good enough to where it will not smoke while the turbo is spooling. Why would anyone want to put a diesel into a Corvette? The LS motors are great motors that you can build to make great HP plus get decent MPG at the same time. People want those motors to put in there custom builds so that should tell you something right there on how good they are. I know people that put it in their trucks with their diesel tanks in the bed that they use for tractors.
