God this story mode is so flawed..... this has like the worst story mode of all the Budokai games (including Infinite World, even though it doesn't have Budokai in the title).

@SonicMaverick3000 I feel the same. Whoever thought paper-flat maps (Infinite World) and board games (Budokai 2) made for a good story mode needed to be fired. As a matter of fact, I somewhat preferred the approach that Budokai 1 took. That one actually made a little effort to be like a bunch of anime episodes.

Thank goodness the creators finally got some sense when they made Budokai 3. Not perfect (no real cutscenes, for example), but it really was getting at how good a DBZ game can really be.

I do like this system for a mini-game for future games, just remove some flaws (if you get any character over 100 defense, they cease to get damage) *just pick Gohan and Goten in the fight against Kid Buu, and max Goten's defense.
