  • King Kassapa did not erect the palace on sigiriya. Sigiriya was erected by Kuwera , brother of Ravana. Kuwera was a brillinat architect. Kassapa only repaired the Sigiriya. This is called the "Kuwerage alakamandawa". ( The masion of Kuwera)

  • Goo thing is Kassapa chased away monks, If I was king there now, I would do the same. Walking barefeet, talking garbage invaluable things, makes people worship them, etc.. bad ba bad

  • other thing I know is that, the enemy will attack the bricks, but undernieth the bricks is granite..

  • Imagine 1500 years ago the enemy comming to attack Cassapa...Ha ha ha ha funniest thing is that the army would be dead from arrows, and the others will be too exhausted, the stairs are too steep. Kassapa had an unusual genious.

  • @goodluckpeace44 What u on about

  • Thanks you for uploading this programme on the 8th wonder.

    It is very informative !

  • I think King Kasshapa was a great example to sri lankans how to be strong.

1st thing- killed his father = people are too soft , but he is different, he is passionated and couragous.

2nd thing = He built Sigiriya with good Stratogy. that shows he was intelligent and creative.

  • @goodluckpeace44

Yes, but he should not have killed his father as King Dathusena was a very good king. ( Besides it is not a good thing to kill your father, mind you ! )

But true, modern day Sri Lankans should be creative like king Kassyapa and not be dependent on the Western goods.

Bet Sri Lanka cannot build another Sigiriya without any foriegn help now.

I saw how they built the Mahaweli damn ! Practically the entire world was there help to them !

  • You know in this world greatness cannot be gained with beauty. Morality= beauty. If you want to be great you should sacrifice beauty and morality. You see that is why you see that scientists/artists/poets/philosophers are so not pretty looking, and Hitler, Valad the Impaler, Peter the Great, and the Chinese Emperor who made the great wall are great but they sacrificed morality and beauty.
