Some people think the mariinsky do Paquita better but I loved Zakahrova in Bolshoi's paquita more than Lopatkina's in the mariinsky. I would give ANYTHING to be able to study under you in Russia, doing what I love to do the most, but unfortunately money just can't stretch the $18,000 to study there and board there, as well as how much it would cost for me to learn Russian. I wish all your students the very best, but no doubt they will achieve their dreams studying under you!

They seem so happy and it warms my heart! I've seen so many ballet students (in documentaries and in person) who seem so sad or restrained by their schools or professors. The students here genuinely seem to adore what they are doing and it seems the school and teachers really foster that happiness and contentment with their art.

Because they work extremely hard.

So, if they eat a lot (and they do), they have energy to work!

Ilya, just dun understand why you not allow your student wear leg warmers in class, would that make them look less professional =)

@G216A911 They do not perform with leg warmers, so they need to adjust to what they will be wearing. Warm is good after exercise, but can cause inflamation of joints and tendons too; a little goes a long way.

I love it Ilyaballet!!! Really beautiful. I see the Paquita scenes. Klim and his partner are great, but will Artemiy Belyakov be doing the lead too??? After watching these videos I have become a fan of Artemiy's dancing. I think he will be a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. If he were in America he would DEFINITELY be a principal dancer, I personally believe. I REALLY hope he is. Is he?
