Does anyone know how to exit the game. I just download the game about an hour ago, I'm at the part where I just talked to the guy at the trailer. I wanna get off the game now. But can someone tell me how to exit the game

@niko83518 URU is based on the Myst series created by Cyan Worlds. Myst 1 was the best selling game in the 1990's. Myst is an adventure game and unfortunately URU had crappy sales and suffered from multiplayer cancellations. Type "Myst" into Google.

I just found this online Uru tonight. I still don't have a clue what to do, but it is awesome to be back in a myst world again. I only wish i had known about it sooner, so I could have been a part of keeping it alive. Myst is one of the fondest memories I have. Great video man.

I remember being in K'veer and in Kirel (or bevin?) for those "/cheer" shots, that was fun, hard to believe that that was 2 years ago and we have MOUL (again) again!

Just wish I didn't have to go to my Windows machine to play it, old Macs are old...

Really is a great game and I'm glad it's been brought back. I'm a little annoyed at how, after the main "campaign" it's kinda unclear what to do, but this video was very heartening in that it showed me a lot of things I've yet to see and complete...assuming they're still out there in the free version. Great video, man!

What can you do in this game? Is it social-like? Can you talk via microphone?

The game mostly focuses on exploration and puzzle solving, you can either do it alone or invite some other people to join you. Or you could just hang around and talk to people. I think you can use a mic but everyone I've seen uses text.

the whole point to this game is the same as any other mmog, they're glorified chat rooms. But if you've played any of the older myst games, Uru would hold a totally different meaning to you.

Never played the Myst series... but hey, I love puzzles and art, so I'm up for it if it returns...

You know, half the MMORPGs I've played in my life... are all the doomed kind brought back through player support.

Endless Ages would be an example.

I didn't even know it was shutting down. Do you think it will ever be started up again?

I mean, Black and White's online servers were shut down, but some guy hacked the Lionhead system and created a patch to play online again! Why not Uru?

Definately. Cyan is not giving up on Uru Live. If they were, the Myst Online website would also be shut down. The only problem is, Gametap has the rights to the game, so Cyan can't do anything with it until they either get the rights back, or the contract expires. So now, we are just waiting...but I have no doubt it will return. It's just a matter of when, and in what form.

Very likely, but it most likely will be different than before. Cyan wants to re-run Uru with fan created content, meaning ages that we make, they will put online. The only problem is that gametap has the rights to the game, so we can't do anything yet, all we can do is wait. But I'm sure Uru Live will eventually return, in one form or another.

Actually, I'm pretty darn sure we can still go on fan created content right now... Correct me if I'm wrong, UruFan (you are a member of the GoW, right?), but can't we create Ages and implement them into CC?

Anyway, great job. I love how I don't even know where you live, yet I'm in your video... ha ha. Great job. Absolutely love the ending.

Yep, I do it all the time, we make out ages in Blender, put them in the Uru game files, and we go there :)

We exchange the files using a tool called Uru Library Manager (ULM)
