i am still waiting for Mr. Peter Cetera (former Legendary Bassist & Lead Vocals of the Original Legendary Rock Group CHICAGO) to put out the dvds he said he would do in an interview he stated in BASS-PLAYER magazine!..whats up uncle Pete? =o)
I see him not playing the Telly here, but I think his best tone came on it. Terry could have played a broom handle with chicken wire strung across it and made it sound awesome.
Definitely great version....Terry was amazing he had a feel of his own. The band was ( Then ) amazingly tight. Everybody was doin' his job....Danny was great and the more I watch the live shows Peter's voice as well as his bass playing are a huge surprise....He didn't stick to his studio sometimes basic lines....I think his bass playing is very important as a support to Terry's playing. Got to admit I didn't hear much of Robert's keyboards in these shows either....Great stuff THANK YOU....

This is one of those rare videos where Terry played a Les Paul. (Perfect for his size) But I can only guess that the Fender Telecaster probably had a better feel with this style.
Definitely the most under rated guitarist of the guitar greats. I love his guitar work and watching him play and sing. gives me the same aura type feeling as watching Page, Hendrix,Beck and Clapton. I hope they would agree.
he made it work for him, i mean hell he customized his telecaster himself i think, he had a regular telecaster pickup and he put a gibson pickup i guess to have both sounds on one guitar so he wouldnt have to swithc in shows,i cant be sure but it was awesome either way

One item of note about Chicago's rhythm section: they never played really played the songs the same way twice. Everything was improvised every time.

Didn't he originally play 25 or 6 to 4 on a Gibson SG? That's what it sounds like to me.

@Elpdude I think he always used the Telecaster
