  • Thaltis, while a three bladed prop looks more scale and run smoother they tend to be much less thrust efficient due to rpm loss and drag. Do like Nitrosavy and throw a 16x6 and you'll see a heck of a difference.

  • I have saito 125 in my hanger 9 60 size spitty 14x8 prop is not nearly big enough for a 125 should be running at least a 16x6 prop for that mtr and you should see big diff.

  • I've got the same plane with a Saito 125, and I cant get half the airspeed youre plane reaches. Use 15% nitro and a three blade 14\7 propeller. I have not tested the rpm yet, but it sounds ok by ear, but I can be wrong.

    Terje.

  • Shes a beauty. When I was a kid I built a balsa spitfire with a 2ft wing diameter, but it didnt have a 4 stroke, no, it had a rubber band through the fuselage from the tail to the nose cone. And it didnt fly because I didnt balance the wings properly. It hit the ground and dragged itself to bits.

  • Is this a CMP spitfire? Just bought one off eBay. If it flys as nice as this one I'll be a very happy camper! Four stroker & retracts the only way to go.

  • Excellent

  • thats a very nice scale model. amazing how it flipped over nearing the end of the runway like my one used to. i had to bend the wheels a little forward to stop it from happening on mine. hope its still going strong.

  • Has he never seen a spitfire fly?

Not very scale like at all!!! Bank and Yank all the way through!

    Nice model though. Needs retracts.

  • is that an ARF? Who makes the plane?

  • I hope mine looks half as good and flies as good as yours...... Lovely plane.

  • Wow! that thing moves. Great flying from the guy behind the remote.

  • Show us the video where he straps 2 .22 miniguns to the wings and shoots down other RC planes with it. :p

    LOL. RC dogfights.

  • No Retracts. The Cost - I don't know but imagine between $800 and $1000 for everything, excluding radio. Build it well, fly it for a long time, sell it for close to what you paid. Not a plane to learn to fly on ! Bogdan is a great pilot. I have a video of his Big Pitts on 1.4 engine that I was in awe of the whole time he flew. He did so many stunts, it was exhausting watching him climb, roll, flat spin, all at high speed in such a gorgeous bipe. I'll post it once I get time to edit it.

  • where are the retracts ?

  • wow that whole start and takeoff was beautiful

  • Beautifully flown. The thing I like most is the 4 stroke engine...so much better than a glow plug or 2 stroke. Congratulations!

  • Just so you know, that IS a glow engine... lol

  • Yep,definatley a glowplug engine as i fly model aeroplanes and helicopters too. You can even see him lifting the glowplug energiser off it.

  • o my god that plane is fucken AWESOME

  • great, love this plane

  • Nice how much did that thing cost?

  • That's a big warbird. Nice flying...
