I couldn't tell which one was lying. Like P4uLGR, the blinking rate is the same, there are no other subtle signals. The interesting thing is that many people know someone is lying because of clues given away in the person's voice, not just subtle body gestures. I also think there are subtle odors given off by the stress of lying, and we pick those up subconsciously as well. Just my opinion, though. The better you know a person, the more likely you are to detect when they're lying.

Ok... so he's not "lying"... but what about acting. An authentic portrayal of emotion I can understand reading the expressions, but if someone is acting out a part or telling a story for the sole purpose of communicating what he is told to express... In a sense this is deception... only because it's not genuine.

Being under stress means only being under stress. One can be afraid of being busted or that he's telling the truth, but they won't believe him as well.

This won't work on anyone deaf who's been taught to lipread; in which case, they would have WATCHED this man MOUTH the EXACT SAME THINGS to the camera technician in both videos at the different intervals by which they began, clearly scripted or from memory, since he NEVER once looked away from the camera to gather his thoughts. I can't hear them, and it would be a great help if I could... but! I think the left one is lying because you can see he is not relaxed and is very stiff in the neck compared to the other screen. But according to the information I read recently in the book What Every Body Is Saying, the freeze response would occur when a person does not want to be noticed as much, so they would be moving less. They looked very similar in what they were saying they both carrid pretty much the same air. The only noticeable thing was the guy on the left moved his head less which confused me. On the right, slightly more slumped. So, from that, I couldn't choose because they both seemed normal.

The issue of behaving as a liar and then requesting an evaluation with two lying like sorts of actions with one emotional and the other not is showing how a liar behaves. One does not believe what he is saying and the other does. The effect you are testing for is not properly submitted. The performances are too different.

Our left. The stiffness of the body, the lack of expressives during noted areas of speech. The head held further back to elongate the throat and neck, making him lean away from the viewers. The way his head shakes no when something is being made to look like the truth. The mouth (I have a bit of an advantage in catching some of the words with lip reading) when he pronounces his words more, lack of contractions (don't, can't). Liars don't use contractions because the words DO NOT enforce the lie.

I can't hear them, and it would be a great help if I could... but! I think the left one is lying because you can see he is not relaxed and is very stiff in the neck compared to the other screen. Also while he is speaking, he raises his eyebrows like he is unsure of what he is saying. Not sure if the things I said where 100% but I gave it a shot ;D

At first I thought it was the one on the right. But according to the information I read recently in the book What Every Body Is Saying, the freeze response would occur when a person does not want to be noticed as much, so they would be moving less. Shoplifters are said to not move as much as ordinary shoppers. So then I thought it was the one on the left. At the end, I was just confused hoping I guessed the still was was right, heh.

i thought it was the right one because he was moving his head around alot more and some liar move around and can not stay still when they lie because they think the person who is asking the question will be more conviced that you are telling the truth by moving your head and eyes certain ways..but i was wrong because neither one were lying they were just reading poetry

They looked very similar in what they were saying they both carrid pretty much the same air. The only noticeable thing was the guy on the left moved his head less which confused me. On the right, slightly more slumped. So, from that, I couldn't choose because they both seemed normal.

lmao very funny and it dose prove a point. how when victims of crime or eye witnesses at line ups your bound to choose someone instead of picking no one. hence how some people were put to jail based on no concrete evidence just the fact the person is an eye witness and thinks they could tell or remember who did the crime. meh im describing this kinda bad but thumbs up if you know what im talking about.

Hey that trick was not very good. The issue of behaving as a liar and then requesting an evaluation with two lying like sorts of actions with one emotional and the other not is showing how a liar behaves. One does not believe what he is saying and the other does. The effect you are testing for is not properly submitted. The performances are too different.

The man on the left is a practiced liar perhaps a culturally taught liar flat affect is very much a part of this style of lying. The constant eye contact is done to fool the individual. The incongruent no emotion style of speaking is common to liars. They attack others abuse say horrible things and remember unsavory things without any emotional content. It is the fact that his presentation is so much a part of the taught reflection that we know he is liar. Mormon perhaps.

The man on the left is lying. The man on the right is a practiced liar. He is emoi[ptionally flayt and there is no reason for it. He maintains eye contact too long and does not think as he speaks. The person with the genuine affect appears to be feeling things as he says them the one on the right does not. The one on the left acts like a Mormon sister bride he may have been involved in a cultural aspect of taught constant lying. .

actually, this is a bad example of everything you said. And, after all, you told us to tell which one is a lyar so we were looking for signs, i didn't find any signs of lying in neither of the examples. You gave us a task to find a lyar and then you didn't give us an example of a lyar, it was a complete waste of time, thank you for wasting my time very much. maybe i can find a sign of lying or not, bt in your example i can tell that you think you're so smart.

Our left. The stiffness of the body, the lack of expressives during noted areas of speech. The head held further back to elongate the throat and neck, making him lean away from the viewers. The way his head shakes no when something is being made to look like the truth. The mouth (I have a bit of an advantage in catching some of the words with lip reading) when he pronounces his words more, lack of contractions (don't, can't). Liars don't use contractions because the words DO NOT enforce the lie.
