the same thing happened to me and my girfriend in blount county alabama. we were arrested for no reson and maced and not let shower for days after they hit her and choked her and grabbed my head and jaw and beat it in the booking desk, and we were never unhandcuffed. these incendents shouldnt have ever happened, and its awful how they try to cover it up, and not let the public know whats really going on in the streets. and we didnt even try to run or resist.

They often use this as a pretty big loop hole because in doing a pat down they can often hear something like a bag crunching (indication that you may or may not have drugs on you). This video aired on KTRK almost a year ago. Twelve officers were disciplined, eight were fired. Four of the fired officers, Raad Hassan, Andrew Blomberg, Drew Ryser and Phillip Bryan, were charged with Official Oppression and indicted by a grand jury in June, 2011. A change of venue for the trial of the officers was denied in August. I can't find any more info. Is there an update?
