@airgearbleachfan yeah I could write, I did allot of writing during my free time and my stories are based on japanese highschool type like romance and stuff
I want to be a mangaka, but after I watched Bakuman, I was like.... damn... even if you're submitting your manga weekly/monthly... if your work got negative feedback... that's it... you're out... you have to come up with new fresh ideas for your manga... in the anime, the mangaka who are still new are called the 'gambler'... your mind have to be so damn creative and talented to come up with awesome stuff... I wish I was born in Japan so it would be a bit easy for me to be in the mangaka business
Hint for everyone: Use Corel painter for your line-art. Color with Photoshop. Corel painter is WAY better for line-art, the strokes are a lot more expressive.
I have no problem drawin on photoshop but what brush settings do u use? because I want the brush sharp and thin on each end and normal in the middle. A bit like Flash
@Stormhound930 I just used the default round brush on 100% sharpness. If you have a specific idea in mind, you can try making your own brush. I'm not sure if there's one already on there that'll turn out looking like flash. D: Photoshop's brushes always look a bit soft to me (that's why I prefer inking in SAI), so it might be difficult to achieve the flash-like effect you're looking for...
What program do you use? I used manga .5 or something like that. Not as good as you but just about getting there... Great job with everything.... I enjoyed watching- manuel
How can people do that with they're mouse? For me, it's hard to draw anything on paint. (Which is a crappy program). Tell me how to download the program? Pwease? :)
Unfortunately, Photoshop isn't free. You have to buy the program and install it. D:
But there are programs like GIMP (you can get it at gimp. org) that you can download for free. I also have a crack of SAI and Photoshop CS3, but I can't find where to download them anymore. >:
@Violenteers $199.00 off of the wacom website for a medium sized bamboo fun tablet. <: The small is only $99.00 though. All of the programs are free with your tablet.
@MyHeroKai Sorry it took me so long to reply. Busy with school. But yeah, I see what you mean. My friend told me the same thing. She says the program that came with hers was more decent that Sumopaint, a site I use. Have you ever heard of it?
@Violenteers Yes, I know Sumopaint. :] And oh yeah, Sumopaint's pretty decent for something online (it's almost like an oekaki on steroids. lol), but it's just not like Photoshop, or SAI, or GIMP, etc. There's a lot of elements that you just don't have. Plus the lack of pressure-sensitivity really peeves me. lol
Are you sure you're not zoomed out at all? Select the magnifying glass tool and click "Actual Size". If it's still pixely, then all I can think is that it's probably corrupt and you'll have to reinstall it.
i watched this video and drew it on a piece of paper i didn't know i was that good but it looks exactly like the end result

@Bidon45 Personally, I use Paint Tool SAI for line art. C: I hate doing line art in photoshop.
MyHeroKai 1 year ago
@MyHeroKai thats a good option too for line-art, both sai and painter are a lot better than PS for lines.

This is great. Was this done with a tablet, or did you use your mouse to do the drawing?

@Violenteers I used a tablet~

@MyHeroKai Oh, okay. Did you buy the program, or did you download it?
Hey, I like how you used this song for the video. It goes well with it--if you've read the series. (Go to any anime lyric site to see what I mean.)
Violenteers 1 year ago
@Violenteers Photoshop Elements 5.0 came with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. It also came with Corel Painter Essentials 3 and Nik Color Efex Pro. <:
I just kind of chose a song randomly, but I suppose you're right. xD

do true Mangakas actually use computers, or do they do the inking and toning by themselves. (just curious lol)
