At the moment i am getting into glitch and IDM styled composing. I was wondering if i use a beat production center (akai xr20) and record the drum kit, sounds, etc into my composition, could I sell and publisize the sounds in my musical piece?. Im not sure if copyright comes into equation if i record physical synths, beats , and sounds externally that I have. BTW i use Reason Record.

This should have been called "What a producer does" in which case it would be absolutely accurate. To be a producer requires skill, experience, and above all, vision. You wont get any of that lurking on youtube.

Everything I would be on point if the clip was titled "What a producer does" HOW to produce is not really discussed, but I digress, HOW to produce is a skill and a talent that cant be learned on youtube:) That comes with working your way up the ladder and gaining experience on one hand, and having a strong musical vision on the other. Then having the tactics of a good psychologist and know how to work with people, particularly musicians. All the best to you and your buddy.
