@31moto31 A Corvette is a sports car, not a muscle/pony car. The classic definition of a muscle car is 2+2 2 door coupe, rear wheel drive, long hood, short rear deck and a V8. All the muscle cars of the 60's-70's were equally referred to as pony cars, the term is interchangeable. The Corvette is a two seater who's primary design is all out performance, its stupid to compare it to a muscle car just to make yourself feel better. A better comparison would be the Ford GT.

@31moto31 2+2 means 4 seats. Corvettes are TWO seat FIBERGLASS and, now, PLASTIC "sports" car. "Muscle/pony" vehicles where NOT made from fiberglass. And yes if the world tells you the sky is blue...well quite possibly it just might be. A Mustang is a "pony" car much like a camaro or AMC javalin. A "sports" car would fall under a different catagory.

If you replace those axle back flows with some straight pipes and have some 40 series flowmasters welded under the floor pans (yes they'll fit) you'll have the best sounding S197 ever. I've already heard a setup like that and it's tits.

no, i've had the setup on my 05, it really does sound that bad. took it off 2 days later. doesn't sound like the Mustangs of the past. everytime you hit the gas it sounds like you're shooting off a machine gun behind you... not exactly smooth or pretty.
