  • I believe there was some fracturing there that healed incorrectly. Can my problem be fixed perhaps? Someone mentioned something about the atlas not being aligned possible also.

  • What if I had a neck injury and C1 and C2 have been affected for 20 years?

  • @MsDarian9 Hi. The base of the skull on C1 handles a nodding movement (slight flexion and extension) and C1 on C2 handles rotation ~45 deg. to the rigth and to the left. The suboccipital muscles have C1,2,3 nerves (C2 being the whopper, the greater occipital nerve) coursing through them. With a meticulous stretching process, these can be lengthened. But it's the most difficult area to address in the human body. I call it the hornet's nest. Take care, Dr. T
