I rescued a hummingbird today! It got trapped in the hallway of my apartment building. It was huddled in the corner not moving so I grabbed a towel and gently wrapped it up walked down the hall and released it. It flew away really fast as was greeted mid air by another one who must have been waiting for it's friend.

This also I sent to my entire address book. Remembering that God knows all the hairs on our head and when a single sparrow falls to the ground. He cares about you and me. I am so grateful and Blessed that He Rescued Me ! And that once I began to fly He allowed me to come back for more nurturing when I lost altitude.

i volunteer at a local bird rescue where the objective is to rehabilitate and re-release in nature. i think you did an amazing job rehabilitating this hummer. they are an interesting species of bird. if you watch them in the wild, they have little fear of anything because they are so fast. bravo!

My wife raised a left-for-dead baby sparrow brought home by our daughter. Bald, featherless and near death we caught the worms, flies, etc. and "trained" it to fly inside. It was a sad day when we took it outside and it finally flew away after about 10 minutes.

It takes special people to commit to such an unselfish act. Thank you for posting this.
