  • I tried this on my 3GS running on iOS 4, the signal may fluctuate, but when making a call, it does not disconnect. In fact, the signal does not always fluctuate. I don't even have a case on it. Although, doing the same thing to the iPhone 4, the call drops, so the firmware is not going totally fix this. It has been proven more towards the hardware that is at fault. Firmware has a little fault in this case.

  • @Jmes1991 Lets not hope so. (that its a hardware issue) I haven't canceled my order :P

  • Well I'm sure apple are onto a fix for this. It's just a very wierd issue. How on earth does the software cause a problem like that?

  • @Reverdness Im trying to post the url to the article on appleinsider bu I get an error when including the url.

  • @hhharabanar Lol didn't mean to hit the vote down button. Hopefully it didn't work.

Cheers man. It's good the fix will be as soon as Monday. I personally havnt had a problem making or receiving phone calls or any data coming from my network. Meh. Even so I still want it fixing haha. It's annoying having no bars but still being able make a phone call.

  • Hmm, its most probably a but in the software then?

    Were you running iOS4 here?

  • @Reverdness Yes I was running iOS4 on both the devices I tried this on. Tried it on a 3G and a 3GS. All points to be a software issue.
