I have the exact same guitar...I got it at a yard sale... every thing is original but the bridge broke from years of tension but that's the only damage... its in near mint condition
I have a May Bell Guitar that I bought at a yard sale. It's a 30s Vintage Slinerland and it's in real good shape. Just wondering what the value might be
1923-28 Heanon H. Slingerland applied for trademark of the May Bell name January 18, 1924, claiming to have first used the mark June 29, 1923. At the time he was
doing business under the name "Slingerland Maunfacturing Co.", at 1815 Orchard St. guitars. I have not yet verified this information, however. At some point between that 1924 date and 1928, the company name was changed to "The Slingerland Banjo Company."
nice playing. I have owned a couple of these May bell parlor guitars. Both needed allot of repairs. The tops were sinking in a bit from loose braces. Once fixed, I couldn't believe how much tone and volume came out of both. Both of them had the Conservatory Music labels on the headstock, with the round Slingerland labels in the sound holes. Nice picking!
haha I just found a may-bell guitar at my grandfathers old house... it is in a little roughed up shape but nothing that can't be fixed... has that funky been around the block look...

Great playing. Very nice. Hey guys. Are these old Slingerlands worth anything? My uncle has one.
