If they're so awesome why don't they shut Big Mike up and enter his Million Dollar Challenge? Beat him and his nutes and take the million dollar check home?
ok so when running a hydroponic system (ebb and flow to be exact) how often are you suposed to flood the table, and during night time, is it recommended to flood the table as well?
I run it at night to keep the roots warm (I live in Canada) as my garden is a cold frame grow box outside
@209actnup The system has to run all the time. Different functions can be on timers, depending on the design, but you have to run the system constantly.
It looked like you had different strains with each different nutrient solution? If so that is not head to head? Various strains will very greatly in THC production, as well as yeild? This video really tells us nothing regarding nutrient solutions, only that you are in posession of lots of great green.
i read a story that put it all in prospective...remember in the 80s IBM was on top with tec but never tryed to rase the bar. Then here come this tiny software company called micosoft...IBM couldnt look past there current building boxes and missed the most lucrative opportunity in American history!!!
@skyhi420x hey man, I can't say I've ever had that problem with Advanced Nutrients. Sure, some of the other stuff out there, most of it even, is pretty harsh. But if you flush it properly that solves most of the trouble. With AN I've never had any trouble at all.
They've got the best hydro organics, too, if you want to go that way.
general hydroponics flora is very difficult to know just exactly how much the npk is regardless of what you arctual cf level is. If you poured enough of just flora micro into water if would rasie ur cf level but its difficult to no how much nitrogen phosphurus and pottasium you are giving the plant. I think better instructions are needed for the flroa series 3 part tellign what ratios to use as the standard seems lacking for flowering. I think one part nutrients seem pretty good
Yes, it would have been cool if they could have tested all of the different kinds of nutrients against AN, but that would have taken forever and it would have been confusing, I think.
Too many nutrients = too many results.
These nutrients they tested seem to be the more popular ones, not just ones that are thought to be crappy, so they would make AN look better - since that's what some of the arguments were. I call BS.
Wow…I said more than I thought I was going to say. Peace out...
@motherhugger11 yeah but how long is the flowering and veg period. Dont matter if you get ten pounds per plant if it takes 13 months to grow it. There is never no talk of the time frame to use this formula. Time is money especially indoors every minute is money with all the electricity being used. At marijuanamillionairedatcom there is an available formula with a money back guarantee that will bring in a harvest in only 45 days,.....try that for supercroppiing
I'm a big fan of growing techniques and perfecting those in order to create the best grow results possible. That said, once you have your techniques down, it makes sense to add some better nutrients to boost your grow even more. That's why I use Advanced Nutrients, anyway. Growing techniques and environments in this setup seem to be consistent, so I think the nutes are what is causing these results. Hands down.
@partyongarth420 yeah i dont care what nutes you have I have outdoor that reach past 15% with nothing but the soil from the forest. it is all about the strain.
@chinchoweed Strain only determines what the potential is. But how do we even know what a strain's potential is?
All we know is the best we've ever seen a strain produce. If you don't give the plant what it needs it does worse. Maybe there's a way to help it out even more than anything we've seen.
Genetics determines what's possible, but look at people. We're constantly breaking our own records every year. Why can't we believe plants can do the same?
The problem is there is no independent group out there to do the testing, at least not until MJ is decriminalized. AFAIK there isn't any serious Botanicare vs. Advanced Nutrients test out there but in my garden AN beat Botanicare.
Strangley absent....Botanicare Nutrients...I have been studying all the manufactures information and Botanicare seems similar if not superior to AN. I do believe AV has a excellent product, but anytime a manufacturer does these 'tests' it is suspicious. Only independant testing can avoid this conflict of interest. And I really want to see Botanicare products compared to AN. Anyone know of such tests??
Advanced Nutrients is the best for bigger and heavier buds. I've seen the proof. I bet the people who are talking sh-- about AN haven't even tried it.
GH was total crap for my plants, I have to admit. Ever since I switched to Advanced Nutrients, no problems at all. And I'm even using it half strength (saving money!) with fantastic results.
Love Advanced Nutrients. And if you just use a few of their products, you will see awesome results. Been doing this for years and I know that AN is not only sticking up for growers, but also they've done their homework on what plants need. Sure, lighting is great too, but you can't just throw a plant in some light and think it's going to do well on its own. Doesn't work like that.
were all of these plants clippings from a mother? cus like, if you have a bunch of varying strains, that's not terribly accurate, haha, advanced nutrients seem to be sick as shit tho
They're at least all the same strain if not the same clone. Either that or you think the whole thing is rigged in which case it doesn't matter because you think they cheated anyway.
Even grown from seeds it would be an acceptable measure of variation given a large enough crop, which is represented here.
I agree with you that this guy probably didn't rig the results, however there could have been a lot better explanation of what the test conditions included. There are other products besides these nutes and whether something else works as good or better is to be seen, although they did use some major names. Over all it is a pretty good result on the plants and a a good mention for Advanced Nutrients which is definitely an advanced company in the field of hydroponic nutes.
Rumor has it that they infuse unicorn souls in their nutrients....

You have to be retarded to think that all nutrients are the same.
You have to be retarded and employed by General Hydroponics to think their nutes are the best.

That's exactly the trouble I had with flora when I used it. Everything felt like shot-in-the-dark guesswork.
Sometimes they were underfed, sometimes they burned.
A big part of the reason I switched to Advanced Nutrients was that I was just looking for some damn consistency.

Watch the video again dude. Each group of plants is on different nutes, right? So each group has plants in the middle, on the sides, and so on.
It doesn't matter if the ones on the corners get less light since each group is under the same conditions.
