  • I got to meet him in 1974 at the 4th annual Overdive truckdrivers convention!!! He was awesome then and still today!!

  • @randomlight1

sounds to me hoss like your the only idiot. Its actually spelled "piece" and "their." ("Their" as in showing ownership of something) Learn proper fucking english if your going to criticize people but then again your probably a person that was born with a silver spoon in their mouth and thinks they are better than everyone else.

  • @tjredman24 I'm on your side and all, but you broke the cardinal rule of being a grammar Nazi- when describing someone as something, we use "you're" and not "your" (You're being a contraction of You and Are, and Your signifying possession.)

On a less pretentious note, this song is beautiful. Those who disagree should do so in silence.

  • @theidort yes i agree

  • @theidort Haha, classic. "Anyone with a different opinion than me on a subjective subject shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinion."

  • @randomlight1

  • You know, I was wondering if he ever made any music videos. However, I got to thinking, if the majority of his songs are from the 1950's & '60's, perhaps either the technology didn't exist, or they were just too expensive to make. Still, it would be interesting to see an old concert that was filmed live or maybe a movie he was in.

  • no,that guy was writin' songs YEARS before the music video came along. He died almost 30 years ago hell first sovine song i ever heard, i was 6 years old,i'm 47 now. he was a little before that time.

  • Red Sovine's music remindes me of riding with my uncle back when I was a kid.

  • I don't think there's ever been a man who could display so much emotion in his voice as Red Sovine...so many of his songs put me in tears. This one particularly is memorable...was trying to build up to having a tough conversation with my parents & Dad excitedly told me about a Red song he hadn't thought I'd heard b4--it was this! He was right, and I was so tense already I know, but I bawled. Will never forget this song--that was the first and only time I'd heard it till now. Thanks for sharing!
