Vista, I think Obama has been able to sway the people as such because Bush did such an awful job and disillusioned so many Americans, that they are desperate for hope and change, and willing to pull ALL faith in the only man promising it.
Whether he can/will deliver is entirely another story, and one that we will all have to wait and see.
He also exudes confidence when speaking publicly - whereas Bush wasn't so quick on his feet. People see confidence and want to believe.

Good interview, I think that Obama geniuenly wants to reach out to the middle east the problem in the US is that the Israeli lobby group is the most powerful lobby group in the country and to come out against Israel is a political death sentence in America.

Please open your minds and listen to what Obama has to say. He is trying hard to reason out, listen and let BOTH sides know, that neither is totally right and everyone involved has to make sacrifices to achieve peace. If people are rigid in their beliefs and thoughts, we will never make progress. Give this man a chance and give us all another chance to think and reason out. Maybe, maybe there will be peace on this earth.
