All she has done and sacrificed for the love of Anakin and she even went against his and her laws .... i admire her fully. in my opinion she and obi wan were the most amiable characters in the entire series :'( and they both died at the hands of Anakin-Darth Vader .... WHATS UP WITH THAT
@Catartist154321 Not to pull out the nerd card or anything. But Obi Wan didn't exactly die, he materialized into the force using one of the many tricks that I'm sure Qui Gon taught him while he was looking after Luke!
I find the Darkside not guilty. The Darkside and the Sithlord's has exsisted longer than the Jediorder.. It's just fucked up how people can believe that the Darkside is evil.. I would definitely take the chance to possess such a power, only for necessary use.
Padme is my favourite starwars character, its so sad how she is such a tragic character. She seemed so symbolic of youth, beuty, love, advocate of peace, freedom and liberty and had such a warm loving presence. Her character dedicated her life struggling for others
Its tragic because at the end of her life the Galaxy had lost all hope, all freedom and liberty was now gone, her causes had died under Palpatines tyranical grip and the love of her life had transformed into Palpatines evil enforcer.
@ExtraterrestrialL1fe Actually she's equal to Palpatine because he's another epic character and his story arc of his rise to power is truly remarkable. Manipulating the Naboo crisis and using Padme to push for a vote of no confidence so he could manuever into the position of Chancellor and then turn the Galactic Senate into a body that will's itself out of existence by transferring all its powers onto him until he becomes the single most powerful being in the entire galaxy
@ExtraterrestrialL1fe Also, Palpatine's manipulation of midichlorians; he's the one who 'conceived' Anakin.. Remember she said there was no father when Qui-Gon had asked?
I really liked Padme in episode 1 and 2. I hated though that at the very end of 3 they say "for reasons unknown, we're losing her" and sort of allude that she's dying of a broken heart. Yes, what happened with Anakin was very terrible but you think with as strong a woman as they portrayed her to be in the other films that she'd have fought harder to live for her children. Or at least made them explain that it was trauma that killed her. Still, this scene with this music made me very sad :(
What that would make me really depressed and sad would be if I was in the army for some year's and then being told that my wife/beloved has died due to cancer or something else. I would rather take my life than being alone without her.
cried like i don't know ..What relising at..This is the only movie i have seen Wich is so powerfull....That movie can get to ur feelings........i teared up of fear when i saw anakin choke her and i cried like a mofo..when it showed her funeral.............
saddest song/part of the movie, just that hopeless point of no return when you see darth vader next to palpatine watching the construction of the death star with this song playing, gives me goosebumps every time.
i had a crush on padme immediately in 1999 (i was 4) and just before revenge of the sith came out, i knew that she wasn't going to make it. i probably would of been more upset if i didn't realise that but she was one of the greatest star wars characters and is wonderfully portrayed by natalie :)
@dwswh2 ikr??? I was just born on 1999 so I dont know her yet. But from the moment I saw episode 1 when I was 5 I looked up to her. So sad when she died :'(
I think this is by far the saddest song in all 6 sound tracks... I use it when playing starwars mods for SINS and my planets are getting bombarded while im helpless and must flee.....
Rob Walker: (dressed as Darth Sidious) Well, great, Nostalgia Critic! the entire costume party was ruined! I thought we agreed that you were gonna be Darth Vader & I was shadowy puppet master dark overlord that controls you, just like in real life.
padme would have been in a state of shock.. never mind being force choked into unconsciousness, plus giving birth she would have been weak, therefor lost any will to live.
and vader hasn't got a choice if he knew if the emperor was lying or not? after the defeat to obiwan the darkside had already taken him..
The most fucked up thing about the star wars story is its all destiny this was all suppose to happen to the chosen one anakin was born to have a fucked up life and padme was only there for his children (more of luke than leia) but its such a brilliant idea!!
i dont believe anakin was the main cause of her death it was a joint action anakin attacked her an than later on the med droid says shes lost the will to live my thought is since anakin attacked her she felt no reason to live without anakin seeing how he turned into Lord Vader and lost her love "Anakin" idk just a thought
It's so tragic. eveything anakin does is to save her life but in the end he ends up being the cause of her death. Also the emporer is a lying bastard, surely vader knew that!
@pottyaboutpotter1 dumb ass vader doesnt realize the emperor lied until he realizes luke is his son, and yet again it takes vader 2 episodes to realize how the emperor played him and then returned to his old self
@TheresNoHappyEnd infact the same bit a sweet sad music soul touching was played in num1 at jin's passing on naboo when ani's asking what will happen now

Cade is a space pirate/bounter hunter who is the descendant of Luke and Ben Skywalker. He is the only known person now who has the ability to heal others using the Force and is quite powerful.
Sorry, I know i'm a bit late to the discussion, but its because of their relation and their balance with the Force. For the Skywalkers, you cannot have Light without the temptation of Darkness. Even master Yoda said it, with any Jedi the calling from the Darkside is always there. Those powerful in the Force are called by it, not much unlike the "one Ring". But imagine if the call of the Force was stronger in one family than the other. It would make sense that the call would be greater.
This is probably the only song that puts me at the verge of tears, and it's not even because of it's movie context, it just makes me think of all the suffering in the world
Very heartwrenching. The music portrays the death of hope and liberty as Vader rises on the tables, a monster to be let loose and terrorize all civilization for tyranny.
Vader's first breath was Padmé's last...damn, it's still depressing...neither of them stood a chance. Massive kudos to John Williams, my #1 composer!

The music portrays the death of hope and liberty as Vader rises on the tables, a monster to be let loose and terrorize all civilization for tyranny.

i think the symbolisim in that situation was that padme died giving life, and anakin lived so he could end life, meaning they were finally opposites.
