  • Wao so fast but so nice i like this song too much im gonna try to play it

  • thx, I used your version and explanation for playing this song with the band

  • Thanks man :) I've wanted to learn this 4 ages but I couldn't find a decent vid but this is just awesome :) I like ur guitar as well :D

  • Hey! Nice!! Playing!!!

  • Tu si que sabes

  • woe you have the red special

  • You wouldn't happen to have tabs written down would you? I'm having a little trouble destinguishing from the video what exactly it is you are doing :P

  • @winnetouch Sorry, I don't bother adding TAB. What are you getting stuck on....maybe I could offer some solution?

  • @basix4 Kinda most of it actually :P But I'm still going through. I don't have much time to practice these days and have to at it slow :P At about 3:19 right after you say C G. I get how you play the C chord but not how the G chord. I've found some tabs (but I soon found out they are incomplete and inacurate) and there a D is played not a G and it sounds good to :P. When I get stuck at the solo, and I'm sure I will I'll ask again. Thanks again for the tutorial BTW. I love the fast version :).

  • WONDERFUL! ;D

  • Great to have this rock classic that never gets played on the radio on Youtube. Thanks.

  • that's a nice big. black, ebony....

    Fretboard...

  • @Flarkdude27 It's not ebony.......it is an oak fingerboard that is painted black and then covered in Rustins Plastic coating, like the original.

  • good but you soud out of tune.

  • Quite possibly! The nature of this ultra, ultra lite set do lend for tuning issues. If you have ever heard the original Bo Bhap, Get Down Make Love and other tracks it is also quite noticeable....but.....on this occasion I do agree with you.

  • @basix4 hmmm, well, I learned something today... thank you, no sarcasm intended

  • Very nicely done, my only complaint is that you are hard to hear when you talk.. but that is the only thing I found to complain about.. besides the fact you haven't made me one of those guitars yet. ;-)

    GREAT job though.. thanks

  • This was well done, I have the live killers album on vinyl, on Electra Records here in America, had it since it was released in 1979. Hey man, fantastic guitar work!

    Rob

  • wow XD

    very very good^^

  • Brilliant! I've always wanted to learn this fast version. Thanks mate!

  • Very good indeed...astonishing!

  • Thanks.....I learn by ear....

  • This boy is off da CHAIN wit dis jam! To, even homeboys like dis shit! Did you learn dis jam by ear or by reading dat shit? You bad to da bone!!!!

  • speak english you idiot

  • Do you mean cvhf650 Richie???

I am grateful for such a positive comment from him..... Maybe you should get down to the street a little more? ;)

  • Comment removed

  • i thought he was beeing funny towards your playing

sorry trying to defend if ive made a mistake then so be it

  • Easy....Richie...... I appreciate your intentions but I tend to read the full meaning before I react. And, I don't really care too much if someone thinks what I do is crap. There seem to be more people that appreciate these tut's than the silly comments. Again....if they were valid I would take it on board. This time I don't feel he was being nasty at all.....Maybe think a little before reacting?

    Thanks again.....

  • no problem no harm done

  • changing the subject have you heard greg covingtons new TB

    ????

  • so who do u recon will be new mod for the forum then???. i was going to apply but thought they may not want me cant think why hehe

  • Great man, thank you!

  • i want red special too :) great video

  • Thanks - this was useful. We are playing this live and you've transcribed it for me and saved some time. Cheers!

  • Great job! Keep on rocking!

  • nailed it.

  • Thsi Rocks Really I Love It!!

  • great you should post the tabs on ultimate guitars cause sometimes it's hard to see which finger is doin what, and imposssible to see the right hand pickin... thx

  • Just perfect!

You make me (and lots of others) happy.

    Rock on.

  • Great performance basix4! This was just what I was looking for. My band and I want to play this version. Can you maybe tell me which chords you use? That will be very handy for our pianist. Thanks!

  • Great guitar playing dude! Great work! A good way to show your stuff and playing the first track of live killers, brilliant!

  • It's simply a D barre chord at the 10th fret.I opt to use my thumb for the 6th string root note and usually omit the 5th string tone. From the highest. 1st finger plays 10th fret (across 1st and 2nd strings).2nd finger 11th fret (3rd string)3rd finger 12th fret (4th string)Thumb as mentioned. BM tends to use this pattern for barre chords generally....

Sloppy playing?I keep my precision stuff for classical

  • Sloopy or sloppy? Chords seem to be correct? I hope they are...that was the intention. ;)

Perhaps the slowed down section may help with the chords, fingerings, licks etc?

  • which tuning do you use?

  • Standard tuning.....

  • Matt, that's just awesome. I love the rawness of Live Killers and for me is one of the better "live" versions that I've enjoyed over the years.

Straight into the laptop did you say? Did you bypass the Vox in this case?

    Thanks again, really enjoyed it.

... Oh and Brian M if you read this : GIVE THIS GUY A GIG!!

  • Thanks a lot mate. Yes, directly int othe laptop from the new Doxy pedal. No Vox....

  • Did you say youy made your guitar? I make them also as a hobby only. is That an orchestrator ( non sanctioned DEacy amdp) your playing through? I'de love to share ideas etc. I have a new Super on its way to tthe US as we speak, #11 of 100 I believe. I'm very excited, I also have 2 guilds, a Beian May,and the prototype for the new Breian May acoustic, ai believe they are calling it Rhapsody. You are great player I will learn much form your vids thankyou. love to share info on guitar building

  • matt exellent. please can you do a tutorial on the track liar please

  • Perfect!! I love the little fills in this version. Great tone too, the new amp and recording method is working very well.

  • audio quality is alot better than other videos what soundcard are running through or which mic ?

  • No mic. just guitar into TB then into the Doxy pedal and straight into cheapo laptop. No EQ or anything else....Same as Bijou vid and Sleeping .Princes etc.

The pedal could be available soon....

  • As always, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant Thankyou.

  • wow you're amazing!!!

  • how much was your guitar? and where did you get it

  • I made it. I make them.

  • very nice ! nice tones i like also the way that its played.
