Hey! I am really confused in which amplifier I should buy. The options are: This, Marshall MG15, Line6 Spider IV 15W. Please explain me which one I should buy and why. Thanks in advance.
hey ive got a question again,when ever i try to play song on Drop D tuning while playing DAD strings i get worst sound from the amp,can you help me in dealing this? should i change the strings ? I love hard rock musics and i have ESP LTD M-10 Guitar.waiting for the reply :)
I dont know which amp to buy.....Marshall MG15 or Roland 15 XL...Can you help ????? I like Metal..Metallica,Helloween,Kiss Iron Maiden..etc ...and i dont want use a pedal ....I like just Guitar and Amp....Just for study and use Headfones.....but i need a great distorcion....
@Interinvicto I think that Marshall has not good distortion referring to the small-price collection. I think that in this case Roland is better. You can get from a nice overdrive to a fat metal sound. Of course for 90euros the sound is not perfect but i am sure it will satisfies you.
Thanks for the review, finally someone who got that when people want to buy eq. they want to hear how it sounds. NOT some guy talking 90% of the video. I CAN read manual. THUMBS UP FOR YOU.
@bugatti94 Even My amp does not have a Ground Pin in the Plug , I dont know They havent provided it..
As u said...When u touch the strings...the noise or buzz goes away...which means your body is grounding the guitar...So once the strings are grounded internally ,the problem solves !
Its quite complicated to explain how to do it...Just take ur guitar to a nearby Musical Instruments store and get it done....to get you an idea...it goes like Strings > Bridge > Electronics in the back > Ground !
@bugatti94 Also , Google it and see how to do it , If you want to do it by yourself....That is , If you are familiar with Soldering and stuff.....Its a simple fix and a commonly occuring problem.....However , This procedure is not recommended if you have Active Pickups installed in your guitar..As those are internally grounded 'As it Says On The Box' lol
But if you are not sure , Dont risk it , Get it done by a professional instead....its hardly an expense !
@Anarchyinoid /// I think that the sound is solid and stable. The only difference is the sound itself from your stratocaster. This goes for any guitar you plug into it...
i have this amp with a cheap lil squier affinity tele (not a bad guitar tbh), and it sounds ok, but it sounds the same with pretty much every guitar. very sterile. it will make a bad guitar sound ok-ish, but will also make a great guitar sound "ok-ish)
thats my review, other than saying its built like a tank, and the headroom on the clean channel is low at best. great first amp anyway. i'de give it 7/10
Change channels with a footswitch (between clean and disortion) you have to press the button on the amp to switch. My channel has vids with this amp ;)!
Look it sounds sweet and not crunchy. I haven' t manage to set up a really thrash sound on this amp. As i said before, it plays a little bit of all...
Kodiprinter. Well That is one of the best demo you gave here. I'm very beginner playing for the last 8 months. Can play basic chords & power chords. I have Peavey's Vypyr 15, either it's so technical somehow I'm unable to eliminate the reverb noise, Can't get a good sound of straight down strum. With rhythm playing it's pretty ok. I wanna find out bout this cube15X should I go for 20X or 15X, is there any difference between them, or pretty much the same just wattage difference. Thanks in advance
dude, i'm gonna get this amp because it's the best buy for the buck, i think, but sincerely.. you want your sound to be fat when your gain is popped all the way to the max. You can fiddle with the 3 band EQ to get a very very good sound.
Would you recommend this for me? I just bought a BC Rich Warlock Revenge as my first guitar. I plan on playing strictly metal. Maby some old rock like ACDC etc, but mainly metal. Ofcourse wont be doing any gigs soon so doesnt need to be loud enough to overcome drums... but i do play it loud when im alone. So, what say you?
This amp is great for a big variety of what you have in mind to play. You can get an acdc like sound and a few metal ones. Also i inform you that i play all my gigs with this amp! It is prety loud, do not let the size of it fool you. Keep rocking...
Look, this amp gives you a variety of gain and distortion. I believe that every sound on this amp is middle rated, that is why you can play from blues overdrive, rock, hard rock and metal. Do not count in having a big fat metal sound... but... it will do the job.
Hey man Nice video and playing. I Got a problem i got the same AMP and a new guitar Ibanez grg170dx But i cant get the sound of your 2:50 . ITs nothign wrong with my guitar and my amp its just a technique .How youd o it man? i wanna learn it
Jonnyjumpsalot, I would highly recamend it for you, i just bought it, its really nice, I has 4 boss sound channels, Distortion, overdrive, metal, and metal stock, So its great for metal, but like kodiprinter said its great for all kindsa of ranges, it has 2 channels! so like you could play clean and switch channels and have a heavy ass sound. great buy if you ask me
i have a low budget ryt now and in this country they dont sell the peavey vypyr so this was the alternative if i can manage the slayer sound thats good enough for me thx ^^
how about to use the record out to record via any software in a computer...have you ever try this...I'm looking for an amp that sounds good in two ways via speaker and via record out....the sounds of the line6 it's too digital and the cube seems to sound a little better...
does anyone know how to get a good MAB or steve vai tone or any other tone thats nice for shred. sweeping and alternate picking stuff etc from this amp im using a mahogany body guitar with hss pickups???
The metal stack sounds much better with gain in the middle, and a pretty even eq, with the mids just a little lower than the bass and treble.

Hi i was wondering can you connect a foot pedal to this amp to change between the sounds?
Gavin66627 6 months ago
@Gavin66627 No you can' t connect a footswitch. You must change manually between sounds...

@Gavin66627 If you know a little electronincs, its easy to make it foot switchable tho...

@Interinvicto roland is pretty good but if you put 10 more euros, you can get a peavey vypyr 15. It got alot of tones and a pretty heavy distortion.

@thegamehemu . I do not know what kind of music you want to play but i will try to give you one or two examples:
1. Overdrive - Blues (set distorition to "overdrive"): EQ -> B:7 M:5 T:6 Gain -> 6
2. Hard Rock (set distorition to "distortion"): EQ -> B:6 M:8 T:7 Gain -> 8
3. Metal Classic British (set distorition to "metal"): EQ -> B:7 M:10 T:5 Gain -> 10
4. Metal American (set distorition to "metal stack"): EQ -> B:9 M:3 T:9 Gain -> 10
I hope i helped :)

This seems a good home amp. to use with a nice guitar effects processor like Boss GT-10.
I'm thinking buying one of these...
JonasBarbaro 2 years ago
Not only for home. You can use it for small gigs also. I had 4 gigs (about 150 - 200 people crowd) up to now with this amp. It is pretty loud.
kodiprinter 2 years ago
So you like this amp, right ? I'm replacing my Marshall Valvestate 100W that I love but it's simply too much for an apartment...
I not sure wich to buy, the 15X or 20X since I only want to use the clean channel because I have a guitar effects processor.
JonasBarbaro 2 years ago
I would suggest you to buy the 20X because it has a lot of potentials and the price difference is small.
