So far the best vids I have seen on so far here. There are many so called TIG welders that should not even post vids on YT. Can't wait to see the video about welding positioners.
how did you get started in the business? did you go to school to get certified first or did you learn from on the job training? do you only work out of your shop or do you go to jobsites to install/ repair stuff? Im seriously thinking of taking up welding as a profession. I think i would rather have a shop and make stuff in it than climb skyscrapers and stuff tho. did you do dangerous jobs early in your career before having your own shop?
@SsjSned , I went to a local vo tech school , then worked as a pipe welder for years. Nuclear plants, paper mills, fab shops, etc, Some of it was dangerous, some was gravy. I only do shop work now, but sometimes, you have to pay your dues to get the good experience, good luck with your career
@weldingtipsandtricks thanks for the reply. i talked to a collage near me and they have a 2yr welding course. im thinking of trying to get a grant to pay for the course. i worked in a lumbermill and learned how to mig, stick, and even a little tig. after like 5 years working there eventually i became the mills welder fixing/installing anything there. it was all on the job training. I know im not certified. but i would jump into any job and weld for hours and enjoy it.
@weldingtipsandtricks im unemployed now but i want a welding carrier. ive thought about learning from collage, a welding union, or even the navy. im gona give the collage a shot but i wish i could work and learn at the same time. if i get a good job and save some money i want to buy my own tools, open a shop and make repair stuff on my own. even though im not in school now im always looking for videos and books to help me learn more about it thanks for all your vids i enjoy them very much.
There is a better one which fits on to the head and allows you to tig weld one handed

how much does a system like that cost? just the wire feed, not the tig, i have one of those.

That is a great idea to use the wire feeder. I think it will be easier to tig weld. Thanks! Keep them coming!
