  • Saw UFO at the Capitol Center, 1979. They blew everyone away. The whole band was awesome. Surely one of the best bands ever.

  • I love this track and album. The way this track runs into it's killing me is music at it's best I my book. Vocals/Lyrics - superb stuff!

  • yea these ufo guys rock i seen em ,ufo rainbow and riot what a f'n kick ass concert !

  • Awesome line up...my favorite ever....by far! This is their best album...... loved it to death til the beginning!

  • What an album ! there best!! UFO!!! Such an underrated band!!!

  • I saw them open for Ozzy, just weeks after Randy Rhoads died. I was twelve. Got to see them open for Cheap Trick before that. I also think long gone is the best non-Schenker UFO song.

  • Tonka's a great guitarist & ofcourse he's Welsh so that helps.

  • I remember when this song came out when I was 13. The best song they ever did without Schenker.

  • i was 16...we booed donny iris off the stage..their opening act...song kicks ass

  • I saw them open up for Cheap Trick on this tour. I got hooked when I heard them

  • Me too....I saw them in Detroit at Cobo Hall...they were REALLY great! I was totally blown away!! My brother was already into them and was trying to convince me. I've been a huge fan ever since THAT show. Cheap Trick was great too!

  • Why is Phil Mogg never mentioned when people talk great rock singers? He's one of the very best.

Brilliant lyricist as well. I could listen to his tales of loners, gamblers and vagabonds all day long.

  • Absolutely. This is one of the very best UFO albums, and his voice is smokin'!

  • without doubt one of the greatest songwriters and vocalist there has been

it is criminal he has not got the recognition he is due

it is a sad fact we live in an age of manufactured shit ie x factor etc that bastard cowell has a lot to answer for

people are like sheep they would not know good music if it bites them in the arse

  • @goldenageofmusic Yes indeed. "people are like sheep" i tell everyone the same. Long live Phil Mogg one of the best of all time and even getting better!

  • Chapman era, love mikie but some real Q stuff with Paul !

  • One of my favorite albums.

  • Who's Tonka?

  • Nickname of Paul Chapman.

  • @macseinchin tonka

  • The best song recorded by UFO with their best Guitarist

  • AS much as Im a Schenker fan...I remember buying the vinyl of Wild and Willing and Innocent....and loving that album. One of my favoite UFO albums...as is No Place to Run and Mechanix

  • OMG this souns like a 18 and life by skid row... O_o but this is older of course....

  • Great live video with my favorite singer Phil Mogg!

  • This line up recorded a lot of hot music!

  • Just another awesome song from the era of lost UFO music. Wild Willing is just an awesome lost cd and as well as No Place to Run is to Rock n Roll history...Keep rocking UFO.....

  • Probably my favorite song off of UFO's amazing "The Wild, the Willing, and the Innocent" Album. Paul Chapman is a killer guitar player; his playing oozes with power, techinique AND feel. Phil Mogg is probably at his best lyrically, here. I would love to see this song played live paired with the title cut just like on the record, with all the cool orchestral flourishes. One can only dream.

  • I play bass for Paul(Paul Chapman Project) and he is playing better than ever.We are in Chicago area Dec 4,5&6,the band is tight and the vocalist does a great job with UFO. There are videos on here under Paul Chapman Project

  • Thanks for the info, Nick. I'd love to see you guys play if you ever make it to the west coast of the USA. Please put me on your list to keep me updated, thanks!

    Doug

  • The band is based in Chicago,Paul lives in Fla,we are working with some national promoters,I'll keep you posted

  • Chapman was not on Strangers as a rythym player. Strangers recording is all Schenker.

    Chapman' playing was pretty basic.

  • chapman was good on strangers in the night as michael schenkers rythym guy. but he could never ever be compared to the great schenker. but there is one song where paul totally shreds its called ANYDAY last song on no place to run

  • one more thing. SCHENKER has a unique style that is not copied from or similar to anyone else, his ability to explode or erupt if you will is what inspired me to learn guitar. there are others who play faster or more notes per square inch. but none can rip like SCHENKER . i just call it like it is. style is key

  • What a song u dont get endings like that very often far superior to the schenker stuff.

  • Can't believe what I'm reading (below). Paul Chapman live, song writing and every otherwise was the "man". God bless 'im.

  • Does anybody have UFO's "Its Killing me" in video or audio?

  • Super song indeed :)

  • mcsantiago. Chapman was crap live. see above. not saying Chapman isn't fantasic. professsion of violence a masterpiece. Live - either drunk or sloppy or both. Great rythm but not got the gears or concentration for lead. That said,he contributed greatly to UFO's best post schenker album TWtWTI. Guitar aside, songwriting wise twtwti is perfection. Phil Mogg's masterpiece. chapman's brilliance.

We'll be listening to schenker tunes from his solos in 50 years not chapman's

  • Paul Chapman rocks, give him credit. This whole album rocked.

  • It sure did.

  • i take lessons from paul

  • UFO was awesome...but with all due respect, Paul Chapman is no Michael Schenker, as far a guitar playing goes. Too bad he is such an unreliable guy....

I've seen both lineups live and there is no comparison.

  • My favorite lineup. The critics are the only ones who missed Schenker!

  • Great song with lyris that only Phil Mogg could come up with. This version of UFO rocked big time too !

  • Pure Poetry.

  • Paul Rocks!!!!!!!UFO ROCKS!!!No Place & The Wild Willing are incredible releases. Not to be forgotten. Anyday.........

  • I love UFO! It is in particular particularly good in the days of Paul Chapman being on the register roll.

  • The Wild (Mogg), The Willing (Chapman) and The Innocent (Schenker)

  • Summer rain that kiss' the streets that bleed like open wounds..........

Great lyrics & a great song

  • Awesome song by the best UFO line-up!

  • Love this song, one of their best. Chapman looks like Joe Perry in 1976.

  • To bad MICHALE S. is long gone.

  • i take guitar lessons from paul

  • No Kidding, how is that going....? Is he a good guy to learn from.? Do you live in England or the US?? I saw them on this tour when I was 16, blew me away!!

  • The best song by the best Guitarist to ever play with UFO. Paul Chapman U R A God Son! What made U special is U did not give a Fuck,U did not sulk,U had no stupid EGO, U just loved to write & Play great Music.God Bless U!

  • whats that got to do with UFO!

  • tonka is the freakin man!!!!!! good job pops!

  • Great stuff! Paul Chapman had a lot of guts trying to fill Schenker's shoes. For that I give him credit! He was a decent guitarist.

  • Here is were you can buy a dvd of the entire concert try this shop vendio com/rocknmetal

  • is there a dvd of this gig?

  • Sdly, no. All examples are from a Video of the gig from a German TV station at the time back in 1982/83 ish.

  • Tonka's cool.

  • i take lessons from paul

  • Great Song. I love UFO even without Schenker. He seemed to get into too much drama anyways..TONKA is the man. Great Post!!
