  • Thanks for not explaining how it works

  • thank you, was looking for son 8th grade project, rhis might be the one :)

  • was it so hard to keep recording for a few more seconds ??

  • does it generate electricity or use it up?

  • @ahmedkumail123

    It clearly uses electricity.

  • does anyone know how long this can run on a D battery?

  • i try this so many times and IT DONT WORK. what i do wrong??????:(

  • @Mr30friends Good question. Motor like this is dependent on proper timing of current thru the coil as it spins. It needs contact on one half of the rotation and no contact on the other half.

  • can it power a led?

  • Materials include a few feet of magnet wire AWG 23, one ceramic disk magnet, two safety pins, one AA battery holder, one wood block and 2 small screws to hold the safety pins. I think a step by step instruction for this is available at MiniScience. They also sell a kit for that, but you don't have to buy a kit if you can find the materials locally.

  • @mohammad1059 Magnet wire? I think not. :)

  • This is soo kool..and well put together :D

Can you just give me a list with the specified stuff tht u used..

  • thanks man. finally got one goin'.

I used 16 double A batteries (24V), and the shit spins like crazy.

now I need car battery and super thick copper wire then I can power stuff with it:p

  • what gauge copper wire did you use?

  • I used wire gauge 23. If the wire gauge is higher (or the wire is thinner), then you must use a smaller loop and shorter extensions.

  • now if we can make our car's run like this

  • Nice vid. Got a bit boring towards the end.

  • yea the last two seconds were really repetitive....-_- lol

  • I disagree, I thought that second 3 was very moving
