To Mike Brown, Marty is awesome !!!! I bought this CD. What happen to him? This is such original country music. I just could never say enough good things about Marty. I sooo miss this kind of country music. He is definately an original. I would so love to hear more music like this on the radio today. God Bless you Marty where ever you are !!!! Johnny in SC
I played in a band called Stoney Ridge, back in the 80's We did the Country Show-Down in Indianapolis one year. Marty Brown was also entered in the show down.
about 8 years ago a buddy gave me his old Marty Brown Cassette and I've been hooked since then. I love the guy and hope someday he finds his rightful place as a legend in country music. Best wishes Marty Brown. PS, my 6 year old grandson sings High and Dry. It's hilarious. Glenn
Marty has probably long sice forgotten the time we spent together at my home on the river in Selma Alabama but we did have a great time together, he was sitting in my floor, no shirt, sweat pants and a Bush Hog cap playing and singing then we went down to fish for a while in the Alabama river, road horses and even drank some cold beers, that was back in 1994, I remember it like it was yesterday! Give ole Russ Spence from Selma a shout out sometime Marty!
Marty is my younger brother and he has more talent in his pinky finger than that no good Kenny Chesneny or Toby Keith have in their whole bands. He is better now than ever and yes it is a shame that Trashville does not know what country music is at all anymore. In this fake era of American Idol and Nashville Star I am not surprised! Johnny Cash,Hank Sr,Waylon, and even Elvis Presley would be shunned today and my bother Marty is just as talented if mot more than thse guys were....Mike Brown
I worked with Marty in 1994. He is the genuine article , what you see is what you get , country to the bone . I played bass on his demos including "We're from the country " . I guess Marty was too country.
He wasn't to country OKIEBILLS74741, it's just that TRASHVILLE is to damn stupid to know what REAL COUNTRY is anymore. I love Marty. A real soul singer and a waste of talent because of what use to be home of country music. Thanks Nashville, we appreciate you KILLING TRUE country music.
omggg i love this song it was played at my uncle thingy for when he died but when i listen to this song it makes me want to cry..
