I think Pellew got it immediately after Simpson shot Horatio illegally what kind of man he really was and he asked for a gun. What surpirsed me was that not one of those officers went after Simpson. Not one foot forward but then I looked at the men and I realized that two of them were his lackies. Had Horatio been killed, Pellew would have had had them hung and rightly so. Simpson was out of control, he was so jealous of the real man Horatio was. I'm glad he got a rightful judgement.
