  • No chemicals here... just a pitchfork.

  • The words "Get Rid Of" drew me to your video. This tool can remove it for a while, but not get rid of it... by just pulling out the tops. No disrespect intended, it's just that I've spend too much time on my knees surgically dissecting bermuda roots... sifting the soil to a depth of three feet... only to have it sprout up again from tiny pieces I missed. Maybe it'll do what "some" people need!

  • @lifeblissed There are few, if any, mechanical means to pull out bermuda grass roots and stems as efficiently as the weed twister. Chemicals are not perfect, nor permanent. Chemicals are costly and require repeated applications. Choose your poison.

  • LOL how ridiculous. A temporary solution at best... and, probably just help spread the bermuda farther cause each little piece that breaks off and gets worked into the soil grows!

  • @lifeblissed You may be surprised how well it actually does work!

  • Shame the bermuda root is 4 feet down. Cheaper just to use round up and burn it once the top dies.

  • @Twisted86 If you think it's cheaper to use roundup every year and are comfortable with the hastle of burning the tops, that's your call. Using the Turbo Weed Twister gives you immediate satisfaction, digging as deep as you wish to go for roots. With this tool there is no need to clean up the roundup mess, dead plants that roundup never removes, or worry about chemical damages to other plants in the area. It's your call...

  • Did you make sure to get a patent on this one ??

  • @TheRealMcCoy2010 Yes, this is patented! It is one of the most popular models we sell of the Weed Twister.

  • PLEASE, O PLEASE never shoot a GUN!

    HAHA

    Creative though :)

  • You could have made this tool 100 times better with 1 simple improvement.

Watching you do this is as painful as watching a hillbilly trying to start a dull drill bit in hardened steel without center-punching a mark first.

  • @flanksteak2 The center punch idea is a good concept that will not work with this design. We admit this video shows how things can go off center, especially running at high speed. The sleeve grip helps to get back to your target when needed. We don't edit these videos, so that you can see and learn for yourself.

  • @raymuser What disadvantages would a say 2 inch long spike in the center of the tool present?

  • @flanksteak2 A center spike would prevent winding the coils around a thick root. Only small grassy weeds could be grabbed by this innovation. Then the roots would get crammed into the tight coil with the spike and could not be easily removed as with the current design. One of our customers actually made a model such as you describe without our advice and ended up breaking one of the coils because of his welding method. We actually tested similar designs years ago before the sleeve grip.

  • a garden rake is a lot more effective if you are just wanting to pullit up. it involes a little effort but its quckier that getting a handful at a time and then having to clean it with each pull. rake till it wont pick up. then simply flip and drag and ur ready to go again. and u dont wind up with a hole in the lawn

  • @JohnnySw1f7 A garden rake? hmmm.....

  • @JohnnySw1f7 Other tools may do the job, but probably nothing faster or more effective than the turbo weed twister if you need to remove large patches of crabgrass, bermudagrass and other grassy weeds in your lawn or garden. Using chemicals may seem easy, but it's up to you if you want to risk the dangers of various herbicides. Besides, herbicides may kill a few weeds and plants, but they do not remove them!

  • Once Bermuda Grass is established, as in this video, you CANNOT get rid of it. The rhizomes as deep as nine feet. I have two Bermuda Grass lawns, front and back. Instead of killing yourself trying to get rid of it, learn how to make the most of it.

  • @RepublicanDumbAss Thanks for your comment. Clearly no weed is ever removed completely for all time either by tools or dangerous chemicals, but if this tool can efficiently remove 99 percent of new stems in just a few minutes once or twice a year, consider the problem history! Now you have more time to enjoy your preferred lawn and garden cultivars!

  • I must add that I am not degrading your product, its a good idea and I can see it being useful. Especially if you have a stiff back.

  • a shovel could do the job isn't it ?

  • @killerbeenl Most people would rather not apply a shovel to their lawn. The Turbo Weed Twister is more precise and more efficient than a shovel or hoe. Minimum collateral damage to preferred lawn. Thanks for your question!

  • i hope he is just not good at doing this! bc this looks harder thank picking them up by hand

  • @drumm11 If you have a lot of bermudagrass weeds in your lawn, this can save you a lot of time and reduce the strain on your back!

  • WE have a tool over here in the Uk by which we can do the same job by hand without using electric tools

  • @powerspade The T-Handle Weed Twister by Ergonica uses your hands for twisting instead of the drill. One of our videos shows the powerful 54-inch Dual Grip Weed Twister for twising out deep, woody roots. The advantage of the Turbo drill-powered models is the speed.

  • Is this thing for real? I was having a lousy day until I saw this video. I haven't laughed this hard in a month! LOL

  • @dorianjepsen Yes, it may seem to be too good to be real. Check out some comments on Amazon.com if you don't believe what you see...

  • that is pointless and stupid herbicide works better get of the green train and kill it with chemicals

  • Herbicides are very dangerous. Another big problem with herbicides is that they don't differentiate between one grass or another.

  • @raymuser

Not true, no herbicide is perfectly safe. But if you take the proper precautions and know how to apply them they can be safe. We have selective herbicides which can differentiate between weeds.

  • @RainJetSprinklers Since you know so much about herbicides, please inform us all about a specific herbicide that can safely kill one grassy weed without also killing other grass plants? Can you kill grabgrass without killing your prefered lawn?

  • @raymuser

Thank you, and yes I do know much about herbicides. A good chemical to rid a lawn such as fescue or bermuda of crabgrass is MSMA, a selective grassy weed killer which also controls several broadleaf weeds. It is often sold as IMAGE. If you are looking to control Bermuda in a fescue lawn there is triclopyr. Which is sold as Turflon ester and as garlon. Using a pre-emergent is your best resort as then the weeds have no chance to sprout at all or establish.

  • @RainJetSprinklers Regarding MSMA some user comments: Pros: Kills targeted weeds very dead. Quite economical. Good visual feedback.

Cons: Over spray temporarily yellows adjacent yard grasses and can zap some ornamental plants. According to Wikipedia, Triclopyr is a systemic, foliar herbicide in the pyridine group. It is used to control broadleaf weeds while leaving grasses and conifers unaffected.

  • @raymuser

You won't have over spray or kill your ornamentals if you know how to apply it. Wikipedia is not a good source of information. Google Turflon Ester, and you will see that it has the active ingredient Triclopyr. Turflon ester will kill Bermuda and broadleaf weeds. As it is registered to do so. Go search lawnsite and you will see many threads about turflon ester controlling Bermuda and other broadleaf weeds.

  • with other words ...you'll never be laid off...

  • I'd rather burn the weeds away

  • Burning bermuda grass will not kill the roots. They will grow back when you only burn or cut off the top.

  • Looks ineffective and dangerous - hard to control. Loose the screw gun and slow the tool down. Someone could loose a toe if they didn't wear the right shoes.

  • It's very effective, but also dangerous. I agree that some people shouldn't use this tool, nor should they use drills, hammers, saws ... Check out the other videos on this tool ... your comments are interesting.

  • This will actually spread quack grass, as if you break up the roots, each piece becomes a new sprout.

  • Yes it does, but this tool provides you a quick and easy way to go back and check for new sprouts in seconds. If you prefer chemicals, that's your choice. I have controlled and completely removed heavy growths of bermuda grass, St. Augustine, crabgrass and other similar grasses with both my manual T-handle Weed Twister and the Turbo Weed Twister. All these weeds can sprout from broken stems, like quack grass.

  • I don't see how this would really work? Bermuda grass has roots that goes down 3 feet and if any of that is left it grows back.

  • I've pulled out a lot of bermuda grass and have never seen roots more than a few inches deep. To learn more about maintenance after removal, look up "weed twister bermuda grass" on the web.

  • what a load of shit i could pull them out faster that stupid thing all u are going to do with that drill is wreck it and burn the motor out witch will lead u 2 bye another drill and good drills dont come cheap. so use good all arm power u will certinally get the exercise

  • Actually my Makita BHP451 LXT 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Hammer Drill/Driver has survived over two years of intensive testing with the Turbo Weed Twister, including pulling out buffelgrass weeds in Tucson mountains. Check out the other Turbo Weed Twister videos if you don't believe it. If you prefer to weed by hand, that's OK too!

  • you can pull em faster!

  • Really? Show me with your video!

  • Removes weeds... and your toes!

  • If you're not careful, you can do a lot of damage with this tool, just like any motorized auger type tool!

  • Have you tried to attach a dildo to the end of it?

  • Not recommended for bedroom use!

  • lol

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • boy looks like that thing would really mix some paint too!

  • Good suggestion, it will mix paint and dig holes in very tough terrains. The main advantage of this tool is the extended length that can be efficiently controlled by the sleeve grip. No other similar tools have this feature. No other tools can rip out bermuda grass with twisting tines as well as this tool, as well.

  • i could do it faster with a weed trimmer

  • Really? Can you remove bermuda grass roots and prostrate stems underground with a weed trimmer? What kind of trimmer do you have?
