Jason854656: he even got stabbed before he got infused with mako energy. sephiroth stabbed him wen cloud tried to stop him from killing anyone else in nibelheim. that was wen cloud was an ordinary soldier in shinra, not mako infused yet. wen hojo found him still alive after fighting sephiroth, which no one had EVER survived, he immediately turned him into what he is now. a mako infused super soldier.

I think my favourite part about her death scene is when you hear this "B-Bmp, B-Bmp!" just as the sword hits her. This was one of the most beautiful made CG's. And is still one of my favourites too. XD

eh, as far as i understand it, and this is just me being one of "those" guys who has to make sense of every final fantasy video game, phoenix downs revive people from being KO'd, not from being dead. So your players aren't actually dying when your fighting a monster and they run our of HP, they're just knocked out, and PD's make then regain consciousness. It's why people aren't living forever in final fantasy games.

I checked the Final Fantasy Wiki and it does speak about KOed only. Also in most Final Fantasy's it says KO in the description, although I got to admit that in FF7 it says "restores life", so the point goes to you there :). And what you says indeed does seem a bit awkward surviving all those stuff, and Aeris dying from a backstab, it's one of those disputable parts of FF. But I rather fill it in with my explanation, 'cause no Final Fantasy without emotions.

Besides, what happens in FMV STAYS in FMVs 99% of the time.

But in the en it doesn't really matter, in the game you can change her name to whatever the hell you want it to. You can make it Jack or Todd. I always preferred it to be Aeris, I think it sounds better than Aerith.

her name is ACTUALLY Aerith. The reason the US version said Aeris is because the pronunciation of Aerith in Japanese is "Aerisu". There is no -th in Japanese so it got lost in translation.

Nomura has stated though that her name is actually Aerith. And if you look in the credits of the Advent Children movie, her name is Aerith.

Hope that clears any confusion
