  • wow, i bought this board at a ski swap having basically no idea of what i was doing since it's my first board. I got it for $300. LUCKY FUCKING FIND. perfect size too. I wish it had est bindings instead of the conversion, but it's still a great board

  • Hey I realy want a flexy burton board with v rocker for park any sugestions?

  • @TheOtangrider Hero, Joystick or Whammy Bar.

  • @thehouseboardshop thanks for the help

  • i want this board so badly! 2 years late :(

  • I ride mostly park, but I still like to go out and ride some back county...do you think i can ride this board in the park and back country?

  • hey, at the end of this season i hope to have saved up enough to buy a new board. i was looking at a few burtons, but i dont have the money to buy expensive est bindings. i was thinking i could just get the est conversion base plate kit. i have nitro bindings, would this conversion kit work?

  • @MYOLcrew04 I ask Nitro on their FB page. No word yet.

  • @thehouseboardshop ok thanks for the help

  • If i have the size 12 burton Motos 2012 would i need a wide board? And what are the disadvantages of haveing a wide board? Please answer!!

  • @efaw5135 Yes you should get a wide. The Advantage is less heal and toe drag. Some people say the wide board feel slower for edge to edge, but you can barley tell.

  • @efaw5135 I wear a size 10.5 and my pow board is a wide. Like the house says, some people say it is a bit slower edge to edge, but I can not tell. Wide boards are nice.

  • k will do

  • The board that was in the video is in the middle of Ohio right now. Go to the Hotdogs on a Stick stand on 5th st. S and Hennepin Ave and ask for Corey...

  • where can I get this board?

  • Hey, i'm from Slovenia. I'm a new rider.

I want to drive, do tricks, all ...

I'm 1,82cm tall and i have somewhere around 66kg, my size is USA(9)/EU(42). What would you recommend for me?

  • @gero421 a board that is 150-155cm long, The Rome Garage Rocker 151 would be a good choice.

  • @thehouseboardshop

FORUM RECON 149 will be fine?

  • @gero421 Yep, if you like riding smaller boards it will work great.

  • @thehouseboardshop i love it how at 2:23, he has the board up a foot high and it reflects that much... that awesome lol

  • Thinking about buying a new board. Always had normal-sized boards up until now but some felt kinda narrow / slim, especially when they had heavy side-cut. Should I consider buying wide? I have size 10 feet.

  • @hackebeil20 You could but I would suggest sicking with a standard with board. Check out your old boards width and just crosscheck that with you next deck to insure you get a little wider board. Another thing you could do to is get some new boots like the Burton motos with theNEW Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology

  • Hey i just bought a 2012 Custom Flying V 155W, and i bought Prophecy Bindings for it, Will those still work with the board?

  • @MrPumpGrip123 Yes they will work together. You should have gotten a reflex base plate that is compatible with channel system on the Custom Flying V.

  • how much does the 2010 2010 Custom V-Rocker cost?

  • @inesskaVFC not sure, we are our of stock of the 2010 and I could not find any online.

  • Comment removed

  • do you get free boards?

  • @NakoUnivers No, do you?

  • EST suck, yr bindings are never tight

  • Hi There! Your reviews are definetly thorough and enjoyable to view. You remind me of Phil X reviewing guitars. What would you say are the differences between the Custom V-Rocker and the Joysticky. What kind of riders are each one aimed at? Thanks a lot!

  • @awesoman30 Your always better off using hot wax

  • Which board would be better for park and mountain riding this one or custom flying v?

  • @zwarrior12 for park and powder i would go with the v rocker, for all mountain ripping i would go with the flying v or libtech's C2 BTX

  • I'm looking for a board to ride park and mountain and found this one. I'm 6'1 about 150lbs what size would u recommend?

  • @zwarrior12 I would look at boards around the 155-158, also check out the Custom Flying V.

  • I'm a 6'1", 185lb guy looking at getting a burton Joystick but I am torn between the 157 and the 161! What would you recommend? I like to ride all over from pow to a bit of park now and again.

  • wat do u recomend for a 92 pound kid? i like to ride drops, terrain, and trees.

  • @JoelAlexander98 A custom would be an excellent choice. Something like an Arbor Element RX or a K2 Turbodream would be great as well.

  • what burton board would you recommend for a 5'7 106 pound guy? i like to ride powder, park, trees, moguls, drops.. i have a 144 board right now and its trashed so i need a new board for next year. also it will be my 4th year boarding if you need that info

  • @IMseanIsnowboard I recommend a cheese burger and fries.

  • @TrevDA9 ok? are you trying to say that i am fat because i am not

  • @IMseanIsnowboard I'm giving you shit because you're skinny...

  • @TrevDA9 oh ok

  • @IMseanIsnowboard I'd say your perfect right there at 144. something like a Custom Flying V or an Easy living would be really good for you.

  • @thehouseboardshop how long would another board last though if i get a 144?

  • @IMseanIsnowboard At 106 pounds you should be fine for a while as you are at the top of the range you should be riding. Probably 2-3 years unless you really bulk up.

  • Do you still sell this board? i look everywhere for the 2010 but no one has them... and i really want this one. it looks sick.. .the 2011 ones are ugly and yea... you can't board without looking good.. right? haa...

  • @66dope we are out 2010 model and so are most other places, your best best would to be check out you local shop

  • @66dope hey I'm selling mine for 200$ bought it last year.

  • @luigimileti What size?

  • can u order this board from the house or where? i need a 154 or 156. i'm trying to find one asap. I have burton cartel EST bindings so they will fit. reply asap thanks

  • @TEAMZEROxx Your cartels EST would work. but i have no idea where you are going to find the 2010 model

  • Is this a good board for a beginner?

  • @ssingh0209 YES! Rocker board are proving to be a great asset when learning how to snowboard

  • hey can u help what size would i need im 5'6 and weigh 123 lbs?

  • @1979nicko go to the burton website or search burton board finder... enter stats in about your self and they will have recommend a board that will work to the things you entered.

  • im looking for a all mountain board preety much everything except rails and boxes... would this board be good??

  • uggh i cant find a board that has the same design as thiss. help?

  • im glad i got this board :) and got it for only $200

  • @OPBBproductions where?

  • are these guys pro, cuz i wanna see their videos if they are

  • how much would a gently used version of that cost about

  • Can anyone help me with which direction is forwards. lol. I know its a directional board and I just can't figure it out. It would make sense to me that the stripe is on the back foot (becasue of the way you can set teh stance back more. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

  • Hey good video and jw are you guys gonna do any reviews on the 2011 Burton boards?

  • what is the best board for 60 percent jumps 40 percent boxes rails

  • hey i was having a tough decision between the Burton Custom V Rocker or the Lib Tech Skate Banana... I ride park and all mountain. Great video by the way

  • do you guys sell any tools to sharpen the edges of this board?

  • do you have to have special bindings for the new setup

  • I love it how you're from Minnesota and You talk about Mammoth Mountain in Cali!

    Thumbs up for Dave's Run!

  • Comment removed

  • Who let a muppet like you into snow board training. What kind of name is Wax? (COD4)

  • this guy knows his damn boards

  • i got this board for a really good deal because it was a demo. I have cartels on it and i was wondering how its gonna ride in the park since it's "an all mountain board"?

  • should i wax my board every year?

  • I dont get what does the custom mean

  • hey i got a burton custom v rocker. got it last year and i love it! i just started last year so i just wanted to start on the mountain. now i think i might want to get in the park. is this board ok? i just wanna know the restrictions if any? also how good is it if i were to do like flat butter tricks?

  • I was wondering if I should get the 154 or the 151. I like to ride the whole mountain half the day and then park for the rest, but I know this board is stiffer that the burton love so I was wondering if it is alot stiffer should I get the 151 or will the 154 handle the park just fine with a forgiving flex?

  • Im looking at the hero or this board im mostly a park rider and a little mountain, witch one should i get?

  • but i bet its like a million quid :/

  • does this come in 148cm?

  • is it flexible?

  • is it reverse camber

  • are you guys Canadian? or American? if so where are you located and where are stores in Ontario Canada that i could find Nike boots I'm specifically looking for Nike Dann Kass purple and black Nikes :D

  • @KHSBikesCo We are American, located in St. Paul, Minnesota where our only show room and outlet store is. If you go to their web site NikeSnowboarding(dot)com to check out the boots just click on Find Store and you have a load of options.

  • @thehouseboardshop ok thank you

  • @KHSBikesCo he said he rides minnisota, piece it together.

  • how does moving the bindings around on the custom work? and what all bindings will wirk for this board?

  • @jesse51496 There will be instructions that come with the bindings. And for any Burton board that has a Channel you'll need EST bindings. For the Custom I would suggest something like the Cartel, Mission or Custom EST bindings. The Cartel are really sick.

  • @SerrariRugani No not really. Burton boards come with their Grip and Rip tune that is good for riding the whole mountain. You should be fine on boxes and rails with that. But if you do find that you're having a problem with it just run a file around the edge real quick. It probably won't need a full on detune.

  • what do you think of bataleon boards i never see you review them. i hear they are really good but you cant believe everything on the internet

  • @dvdvoorhees That's because we don't actually carry Bataleon. I can't say I know a whole lot about those boards, but at a quick glance I would say they're a good solid board that is constructed well. Seems like they have some really good tech, but it depends on how you're specifically wanting your board to perform if they have what you need.

  • im thinking of getting a custom v-rocker or hero... which is better for ice and groomed i board in canada so its icy and groomed im also not sure what size board im suposed to get im 5'8" 120lbs super light weight im an beginner to intermediate rider but more intermediate then beginner the burton board finder suggested a 149 or 148 i think that sounds a bit short..... but what do i know?

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me? I'm 5'3 and weight about 145. I'm wear a size 8 in boots. I am interested in looking to get a Custom v-rocker, and I'm getting mixed answers from my friends. I want an all mountain board so is a 145W Burton Custom v-rocker will do, or should I get something longer? Thanks for your help in advance.

  • @yungbizzle That's maybe a little short for you. I would say get either a 147 or 148. Take a look a the Burton Flying V 148. The Flying V is amazing because it's a mixed camber with both rocker and camber. Plus an adult board is going to last you much longer and your are going to get performance above and beyond a youth board.

  • hry, hows this sound. im almost 100% sure im getting this setup, 2011 burton custom flying V 158W (boot sz:11.5-12) with 2011 burton est cartels (large)

  • @shredMaster031 That is an amazing setup! I mean really, I'm not just saying that. The Flying V is outstanding with the mixed camber and rocker. It's the best of both worlds and you will be able to ride that thing all over the mountain and get an amazing performance everywhere. The Channel and EST combo has incredible board feel and creates really great and unique board response. The Cartel are super quality and their flex is a good match for the Flying V. You've in for a great ride this season.

  • hey i have a question. DO u think that large bindings will fit on the Forum hundreds destroyer 148cm

  • @FORUMshredder Forum "Hundreds" Destroyer? Well, on the Forum Destroyer, it's a close call. It might, but really if you can at all I would size down in bindings. You can always give it a try and if it doesn't work just send them back for a different size. Just don't take them out on the snow and use them if they don't fit, other wise we can't take them back.

  • ay dave whats the biggest boot size that will fit on the 156? i was gunna get the 157 wide in camber cuz i normally wear a size 11 or 12, but since ill be in the park more often than not id rather have the v rocker... and.. will it really make it that much more difficult to hit boxes and rails with the camber board opposed to the v rocker?? keep in mind im just about an intermediate rider with room to grow skill wise..

  • @RAIREstylee90 First of all, camber works amazing in the park. That's how it's been done since the beginning of snowboarding. Companies make it sound like you can't ride park without rocker but it's a LIE. It's all just a big marketing ploy. Yeah, rocker may help and benefit some aspects of park riding, but there are still many benefits to camber that you won't get with a rocker. You're not the first person to ask. And yeah you need to get a wide board.

  • @thehouseboardshop thanks for clearin that up then dude.. this will be my first board so i wanted to make sure. peace

  • @RAIREstylee90 Yeah, for sure. It's always good to ask questions and get the facts when you're not sure. And first board, that's exciting! Have fun this season homie!

  • Hey Dave,

I'm in the market for a Burton Custom V-Rocker

I'm 6'1", about 150 pounds and ride all mountain. I use medium bindings. The main thing I can't quite work out is what length board I should be looking into. The longer effective edge has sort of thrown me!

I'm also thinking of purchasing some Mission EST bindings, would they suit the Custom V?

    Thanks

  • @Stubpidity For all mountain get between a 156-158. That's a really great board for riding the whole mountain and the Mission bindings are a really good match for it. They have the same response and flex so they will work magic when paired together. Have fun this season! Oh and by the way, this is Kate. I took over for Dave on the comments just a little while ago.

  • @thehouseboardshop Thank you for getting back to me so promptly Kate!

  • I want a Burton custom and have a large est binding. I wear 11.5 boot and was wondering if I needed to get the wide version of the custom. Please give your opinion because I heard that the wide boards are less responisive and less monoverable. Plz help. Thnkz

  • @kplube9 Yeah you need a wide. If your toes and heels are dragging in the snow it doesn't matter how responsive the board is you're going to have a horrible ride. And no worries any ways. When they make the waist width wider they compensate with a wider nose and tail width. So the sidecut radius will still be the same and your response from the board shouldn't differ that greatly.

  • You should review the Artec Novus and/or Gabe Taylor

  • @CherryPieProds We have videos with Johnny Miller talking about his Artec Novus and Gabe Taylor talking about his Gabe Taylor

  • You should do a review on the Rome pusher

  • @snowboarder413 We don't have that one. Sorry

  • yo dave u guys have the custom ltd v rocker 151. and i was wondering if you price match that with the same board from a different site but the other one is a 154. i think i remember seeing you don't but i don't remember. please help i'm really looking into buying this board from you guys thanks

  • @revolutionsk8boards Hey, this is actually Kate, I took over for Dave just a bit ago. But yeah I'm pretty sure we'll match that. Either way you'll have to give us a call 800-409-7669

  • i have burton custom bindings would those work good for this board>?

  • i have burton custom bindings would that still work good with this board?

  • i am looking into this board but i have burton custom bindings would it still work good?

  • i got this its really awesome. :D specially on rails.

    this u wouldnt wana miss.

  • Hi, i'm looking on getting my second board. I'm getting more into park and thinking about getting the Hero. I have burton custom bindings, but they are not EST. Will my normal bindings work with the ICS?

  • @roseburg35 You can buy a baseplate that will attach them, but right now nope.

  • @thehouseboardshop i have burton custom bindings would those work good for this board>?

  • ok im about 5.6 120 pounds. i want a board that is true twin and centerd stance. i ride park, pipe(a bit), street(very very little), trail, pow, and backyard stuff. also i want the board to be flexy so its awsome for buters what do you sujest.

  • @larsentunes4 dont care which brand

  • im 5.3 and 95 pounds I was wonder what size board i should ride thanks

  • dude i ride a lib tech jamie lynn 154 i like it but this custom have v rocker i wondering is the same tech.. have lib tech ??

  • @sebaslebass Burton has pressure distribution edges which is similar to Magnetraction and their V-rocker is similar to Banana technology. The Custom will be a hair softer than the Lynn tho.

  • Is the 159 wide enough to mount large bindings on without catching your toes/heels?

  • @Bourlakis Yes.

  • is this board just about as soft as the joystick?

  • @gopedkid3218 The are very similar in flex.

  • Is the custom more of a freestaly or a all mount or free ride board . I'm more of a all mountain guy and wanting to progress my freestaly skills but still wanting to ride themountain often is the custom Dom or the Burton blunt by the way I go to whistler alot and ride the fast groomed stuff all over the place ??????????????

  • @slapyouontheface Custom V-rocker or Joystick for sure!

  • @thehouseboardshop Both are All mountain Freestyle high-end!

  • thanks heaps mate appreciate it

  • @TheOzzyrider No problem!

  • i live in Sydney NSW but mainly ride queenstown New Zealand im also doing a season in france at the end of the year, so powder and a little bit of park but mainly just resort riding

  • @TheOzzyrider 163 all the way brother.

  • hey man love your reviews i am looking at a new board i am currently riding 09 custom 162 ics with cartels, what size custom v rocker would you recommend i am 205 pounds and 6'1,

  • @TheOzzyrider Thanks! What state do you ride in and what kind of riding to you do?

  • Hey, I live in Australia and i'm wanting this board. Is there some way you can ship to aus or tell me of a shop that ships boards like the dominant, custom etc.

    Thanks.

  • @omghiyas No shop will ship to Burton to Australia...try finding a private seller or someone you can ship it to in the United States that will forward it.

  • @omghiyas try priceusa site

  • custon, hero or banana?

  • @steveman66cool Custom, Banana, Hero...in order.

  • Is this board good for a second year rider. Im just not sure if I have enough experience. I do also want a board that will last me a while and can handle park riding in the future.

  • @mananaslayer This board is forgiving enough for you to get on right now. It's like cheating!

  • does the Custom V-Rocker "LTD" have Pressure Distribution Edges?

  • @leefromaus Yes, it's exactly the same except for the graphic.

  • so should i get this or dc mlf for slopestyle and park with 40 foot jumps and boardercross because this will be my only board if neither of these two boards what other boards would you suggest?

  • @sk8rprsn Definitely do the Custom! I'ts my favorite board for everything that I've ever ridden.

  • I got this board, and triad est bindings. Do you think they go well together or should I have got the cartel instead?

  • @0wn4g3SPECIALIST The Triads are better than the Cartels...shred it up!

  • do union contact bindings work for this board??

  • @yankees24131 Not till the fall when they release their channel disc.

  • Burton is giving me the choice of any board on their site except for the Vapor and Method. I love the park but also love going really fast. This is the hardest choice I've ever had to make it my life lol can you help me out? I'm a 5'10 and my boot size is 12

  • @ShawnMcg15 JOYSTICK WIDE!

  • Hey Dave,

Thanks for the review im sold,

Just wondering what size i would be, 6'1, about 160pounds,

riding mostly groomed in Aus, and some powder in Japan.

I was thinking a 154 is that too small?

  • also im a size US size 11 is that an issue?

  • 154 should work but 156 would be a lil' better.

  • Buy low profile boots.

  • just bought one of these, 154

was thinking about getting some flow flite 3 binding, should i go with a different bindings?

  • Flows DO NOT work on this board. Do an EST binding otherwise you are only unlocking 2/3's of the performance.

  • i don't recall hearing this in the vid: flex? you usually give an "out of ten" rating.

  • 5ish

  • Hey Dave,

I just bought the 159 custom v, cant wait to ride it. I bought it for slopestyle comps and 40+ ft kickers, with cartel est bindings, will that do? what boot do you recommend? Hail/ Grail or Ozone? Or something else?

Also, I need a smaller burton board, really flexi for urban jibs (something along the lines of a jessi burtner box scratcher but one that burton makes). any suggestions? I'm thinking a hero 155 Wide?

By the way i'm 6ft and 176 pounds, size 10.5 boot.

    Thanks

  • The Hero 155 would work great as a softer jib board.

  • 6'5 185lb boot size 12.

was thinking custom v, hero wide, or joystick wide

ride all mountain but starting to get mainly into park/jibs and then pow when its here (east coast)
