It really is that perfect nighttime cruising music, I love it. Neal has a style so deliberate and emotional that a lot of guitarists can't duplicate. I always think of the final passage to 'Stone In Love' when it builds back up slowly... it's that melody, it's something almost "epic" in a sense. I feel that same thing in this song.

This was my driving music in the late 80s and early 90s, zooming up and down the Interstate 5 in the wee hours. The ambiance was just right for my younger days in my BMW 3 series. Boy, do I want to go back to those days feeling the same passion! Regarding Schon, bring on any guitarist in the world. I don't think he'd be outdone by anybody, period. He's THE guitarist!!!

Neal is the best guitar player in the world. I just saw him at the Filmore in San Fran, he is amazing. You can never really judge Neal based on his Journey stuff, he is so much more than just Journey. I love Beyond the Thunder, simply the best CD out there. There is so much feeling and emotion in every song. Do yourself a favor, get that CD!!

THis is what real music is,to many kids these days listing to ,like hate music or something so fast and singing( if ya want call it singing I cant make out the words,) I Just love Neal always have always will,and of corse Journey, anythiing he has his hans on ,havent heard a bad song for him and dont think i ever will..NEAL You Are the reason I Play Today..Simply THE BEST in my ears, we need love in this world and he shows it in his music.

This is a great stuff when you're driving down on an empty highway... I did a lot of it when this album first came out...This is definitely a memory lane. The guitar solo in "When the rain's coming down" included in this album, I think, is the very best ever done by Neal Schon. It's just scorching!!! Neal Schon is my personal favorite guitarist of all time.
