When I was a kid we used to go out to Warrens place and spend time with him in his shop. He was always full of clay and always had the tea kettle on. His farm was not too far from ours. At 47 I still vividly remember his strong hands, wonderful smile and shine in his eyes. What a wonderful human being. I am glad to see he is still around. Thanks for posting these videos.
Can you tell me how to arrange a visit to the studio? I got directions off the Internet but still couldn't find it. If not, do you know how I can contact him to request a visit and directions?
Wow! I just saw this post, and I am terribly sorry that I never responded! His place is really off the beaten track, despite being so close to The Cities. I had been to his studio a couple of times for workshops, so I knew where it was. When I wanted to bring my class to see him, all I did was look him up on White Pages to get his phone number, gave him a call, and he was wonderfully gracious about letting us drop by.
not yet. my class will be visiting him next month though, and with his permission, i would love to get more videos of warren speaking and throwing. we'll see what the maestro says...stay tuned.
