The first time I heard this song it blew me away, its the story of my life. I spent almost 40 years on the road as a union truck driver, you would run all night long, in the morning they would put you in a motel, and come night they would send a CAB for you and you would do it all over again. I could not wait for the weekend to see my baby, and I finally made it, I survived I retired, now I get to see my baby all day long. THANKS Daryl for a great song.

Whenever I heard it on the radio, it always reminded me of the poor people who wish they had a cab driver to take them home to there family. Unfortunately they never had that chance. I think it was Sara's sister that passed away, not Sara. She wrote several songs for H & O.  Daryl was said to have taken her passing very hard.
