  • That was good how long did it take you to make?

  • @badwolf66 Thanks :-). Took about 2-3 weeks. A lot of hours went into it. As I regularly tweaked it and made certains additions. My MK.2 video is really the more accomplished work. I'd also highly recommend you watch "ARMA 2 - Return of the Nephilim" (by Gamevid4). Simply sterling and awesome work.

  • @TalentSpotter83

Aren't you making this a mod?

  • @GameReviewer1987 Honestly I don't know. I've taken a big break from it as it's a lot of work. I may never make a mission/mod. But with ArmA 3..who knows?

  • @TalentSpotter83

When will the mission be released (Btw, I noticed that you were the one responding to my comments on the Battle: LA Deployment video)?

  • does this scene remind you af a movie called BATTLE:LA

  • what are you fighting rocks?

  • can you send me all the files lol?? PLZ! like the .pbo on sqm

  • If you made a giant shockwave effect that would occur whenever the meteor struck the earth, as well as increasing the emitted smoke debris from the meteor, that would complete the mod. :D

I'd love to try that mod, keep up the good work. :)

  • This is sick! How did you get those camera angles?

  • If you do another one of these, can you include the BAF faction or perhaps even the US and BAF faction at the same time! That would be an awesome idea for the sequel to Battle: Los Angeles

  • i love this mod

  • question for me i have it so that all the chinooks are loaded and all that works but ive given them the waypoint to land in an area but only have of them go the other just stay and sometimes there are soilders coming out of noware boarding slowing down the lauch porcess can anyone hhelp

  • @ALbishop2123 btw i have combined ops if it helps

  • @ALbishop2123

This guy used scripts and waypoints to make them get in, they aren't actually part of the chinook's squad.

  • Question

How are you going to do Takistan? IIRC Takistan doesn't have any coastlines.

    But, anyways, Awesome video.

Looks just like Battle: Los Angeles! If only I had half your ARMA2 editor talent

  • @ThatOGDon

Its going to be for OA and ARma 2 I think.

  • Where could I buy this game?

  • Comment removed

  • all the craft land in the water fyi

  • awesome

  • awsome

  • Lol. This has to be the coolest thing I have seen in a while. Just like Battle L.A. Great Job.

  • looks realy good mate cant wait for it :)

  • Holy Awesome! You're onto something here. =D

My only criticism are the "meteors". Perhaps you should use a smaller object to play that role?

The Smoke and Fire effect are superb. That I would keep that as it is.

As this is a mod about Battle: LA I suppouse you're going to include the "BLAA" (The Aliens) on a first release right? You should try getting the basic elements (In this case the aliens) done and then focus on the campaign.

Cool Stuff, Keep up. I wish you the best of lucks!

  • Holy shit O_O...you recreated the movie perfectly! I can't wait for this mod.

  • This is great! Love the Camera work, and especially impressed since this is your first video.

Very cool, will keep an eye out for more in future :)

  • Where did you get the meteor addon? I want to try and make my own version of Battle: LA.

  • nice vid

  • The mod looks great, but the meteors look a bit slow. Use the setVelocity command to increase their speed, at the moment they look like they're floating down to the ground. Anyway, awesome video and keep up the good work! ;-)

  • @RoundenBrown Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely experiment with the "setVelocity" command in future. Bear in mind though, in the film "Battle: LA"; the meteors were slowing down before ejecting their landing pods. As I can't re-create that effect in ArmA 2, this is the next best thing.

  • @TalentSpotter83 you could write a script file. using setVelocity then use the sleep function that way the meteors can travel at that velocity for a set time then set the new velocity value.

I suck at scripting but it might looks something like this:

    _meteor = "object"

    _meteor setVelocity [X,Y,Z]

    sleep "time in seconds"

    _meteor setVelocity [X,Y,Z]
