"I would enjoy going out with you Mr. Beasley...if I just didn't find you so personally distasteful. You're a sneaky, crude, offensive man. Of course, that's just how I feel. I'm sure there are HUNDREDS of girls in this city who admire those qualities."
Did I hear right? Mr. Beasley called Everett in the film? Why did Cathy say "Oh Archie" in the german version... Until yet I thought that was a joke in the original script.
I think I did see this Doris Day comedy film too. It was very nice and funny. I see that Audrey Meadows from "The Honeymooners" is here in this film too. Did they also put Jackie Gleason from The Honeymooners in here too? If Doris Day had good chemistry with Audrey Meadows, then she would have had good chemistry with Jackie Gleason as well.
this was the first doris video i brought and remember waiting for everyone to go to bed to watch it - never made it to school the next day, had to watch again. hope my kids will enjoy, at the mo they won't move past move over darling!
I've been wanting someone to do this movie for ages! It's one of my long time favorites! One part I like is when Doris proudly tells the woman at the U.N. that Mr. Shayne's car nearly ran her down that morning and the woman says, "Oooh! What a delightful way to go!" Sigh...Cary Grant~ so true. Thanks for this video! =^..^=
Hi Annie. Isn't she great! This was so much fun. I liked to never finish it because I kept laughing. Gig Young, when he says, "Strange, always seems to work in the movies."! This is a terrific movie and for any Doris Day lover, it has some classic facial expressions. I love it when she calls Beasly. I could watch it over and over and over again. Thanks for watching. I'll have to surprise you with the other scene....Thanks again!
Those facial expressions are great! No one crosses her eyes better than Doris. And no one gets angrier better than her. I love the scene at the beginning when she tells Beasly off.
...forget about the average girl... Hahaha! This was my first Doris Day movie when I was 12. The toe-in-bottle scene made me laugh til I cried and I never forgot it. And still today...Doris has me in stitches!!! Thanks for watching.
SOOOO much fun ! You picked some of the best scenes ! I love Audrey Meadows in this... and the scenes with Doris and John Astin are so funny ! Love it !! 5 DD stars from me !
