  • Fuck fossils, That would have been an amazing place to ride.

  • I dont have a problem with bikes, but this is not the place for a track. Ive sen far to many things destroyed by machines. These fossils and artifacts are beautiful. If the bluffs are actually fossilised coral they were probably of great significance to the aboriginal peoples of the area. Fossilised coral is a lithic stone and can be crafted into blades and projectile points. So this area was probably a camp/quarry. There are better places for a track, this area has more educational value.

  • This would be such a great place to ride, and take in the area's great landscapes and geology.

  • build the raceway you got my suport!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck everyone dirtbikers rule bones are history..ride on

  • You probally burn more gas sitting at a Wendy's drive through than I burn in my dirt bike the entire weekend. Dirt bike riders aren't out to destroy everything. They do provide a lot funding to protect these lands.

  • Oh did they lose? GREAT! What is up with this society: the price of gas is going sky high - why would anyone want to waste it by scootering around and making noise??? Grow up and get a real job!

  • Do you really want to know, or is this a rhetorical question? Also, the demographic of many trail riders is late 30s to early 50s, male, technical/professionally employed and rather affluent. That's why we can afford to do what we do. You grow up and be serious 24/7. We'll work hard and enjoy our lives....

  • That explains alot: here we have a perfect example of the "Me" generation as they age. Well, yes, you've led nice responsible lives - but, really, all that whining just cuz you can't waste gas and make noise? Hmmm... Seems there's still room for maturing...

  • So, b/c I ride a dirt bike, I only care about me? Pretty presumptious and arrogant to say the least my freind. You know just about as much about me as I know about you, so I'll not judge. Good luck to you.

  • I'm not here to start a fight. I just want to make the point that Corral Bluffs has significance as a paleontologic/archaeologic site. Yet your dirt-biker crowd insists that "personal pleasure and freedom" come first - regardless. If that doesn't cry out the mantra of the "Me" generation, I don't know what does.

  • My point is, don't be too quick to paint all off-roaders with the same broad brush. That's how hatred begins. If you met me, and didn't know I rode a dirtbike, you'd never have a clue, as I don't fit the stereotypical mold, as to many in the sport. I'm here to tell you it's NOT our right to ride anywhere we choose. BUT, it is our right to recreate on public lands in a multi-use, managed plan. By all means, protect sensitive ecological & archeological sites. There's is enough room for us both...

  • Well - if you see/tout it that way, more power to you. I am just reacting to the media's representation of your crowd: personal pleasure at all/any cost. If you - YOU (in the singular sense) - have concerns and dirt-bike in "conscientious" ways - then okay - but I suspect that many of your peers are not as "environmentally-aware" as you are. As such, it's probably best that a ban on ALL dirt-biking be imposed.

  • Trust me, I'm not the odd man out with my views and you should try more thinking for yourself and less reliance on the media for your conclusions. Did it ever occur to you that they might be wrong? Regardless, your solution of banning is what's wrong with this country. The idea that the rights of some can be sacraficed for the rights of other. You want to take the public out of public lands, so we can enjoy them from the legal fences you've build around them. So much for peaceful coexistance.

  • The media's representation of you is obviously based somewhat in fact. And the fact that you insist on bemoaning your "plight" only confirms your "Me" generation-based perspective. Enough! Deal with it! (And there are too many spelling errors in your post - I see no reason to continue this discourse - obviously you failed high-school English.)

  • Progressive lib? That's my guess, as in my experience, they always resort to personal attacks when someone doesn't agree with them (where's your open mind?) or more likely, when they don't have a comeback to rational, logical points. You don't want to continue because you know deep down, I'm right! Once again, good luck to you. :)

  • If you can't spell correctly - then you can't spell correctly. 'Nuff said. Go funnel your dirt-bike energy into some sort of community service -rather than tearing up your local fossil locale. Think about others rather than yourself for a change.

  • So, your crystal ball shows you how I'm involved in my community? Or, did you ass-u-me that riding is the only facet of my existence? And, for your info, I ride managed OHV parks and stay on the marked trails.

Seems like you're having a hard time dealing with the fact that not all off-roaders are the stupid, irresponsible, evil people that you so despirately want to believe they are.

But, I won't insult you as you have me. Just remember to not judge, lest you be judged yourself.

  • Beautifully done. And wonderful news that this will not be a motorcross area any longer. Great work, guys! L & B of TN

  • Power to the People! ¡Sí se puede!

  • Looks like it'll be a great place to ride my bike....

I can't believe some buthead ruined the landscape by building his cabin there...geeze...

  • wtf

  • Looks like a bunch of desert to me. Maybe a 1000 years from now a new civilization will be wanting to save this land from something else because of all the dirt bike artifacts.

  • more bikes please

  • Show the motorcycles more that was cool!!!!!!
