  • The F59PHI#2007 sounds whirling when it leaves. very coool catch but I don't get the same F59PHI with same engines can sometimes make different noises. the scream, the whirling and smokey

  • that happened to me once when i rode a few years ago, except with a nornal F59, 2052 is probablly Dead & will be dropped off in oakland, like the crew did on my train, so the passengers onboard will be about 2 hours late :P

  • Great idea for Amtrak to do this with big lettering on the side & paint it hi-vis yellow so people notice it (and read it) as it goes by. I hope to catch 2007 on the Bakersfield sub one day. Nice job as always. Don't forget to drop me some comments too buddy. ;)

  • You got it double heading with a Dash 8!!! Mega rare and nice catch!!!!!

  • @CoastStarlight11 Yeah that was my first time catching that unit! I consider myself extremely lucky to have caught it leading a doubleheader!

  • @CaliforniaRailfan101 I shot that Amtrak California Dash 8 on an Amtrak Capital train and I also shot that Amtrak dash 8 leading Amtrak's southbound Coast Starlight in year 2004.

  • Nice motto 5*****

  • I pack a punch that's a good one to warn people.
