Excellent example of the difference between artists enjoying their art and today's mass produced choreographed drivel. This live performance has more heart and energy than most of the latest spoiled brats producing one-hit-wonders that will come out this year - combined.
They have many great songs and survived the disco age with some great songs during that era, this is 1 of my most favarites, been listening to it for 30 years ans still not tired.
As good as mick is I couldn't keep my eye's off that girl with the leg's on backing vocal's. I saw them at manchester a few year's back and she was absolutely smoking....the music wasn't bad either.
Seen them both live (U2 not by choice - long story involving Thin Lizzy and BB King). U2 are not a patch on the Stones - Bono is a pretentious tosser and the rest are nondescript. I cannot understand why so many people like them. The Stones on the other hand are truly magical - born to play live.
Man I love the stones, nothing but respect for them, but they can't play live. U2 on the other hand are an amazing live band but their songs aren't a patch on the stones .
@PaisleyWilde i agree, but what do you think of the sheer propulsive, yet refined, power of Mr. Paul Thompson, drummer of Roxy Music? It seems like some of their classics from the first 3 albums in the '70s were 'made' in an essential way by his drumming talent. Just an idea i've had floating around for about 30 years.
@timandjeremie i don't think so. i was listening to Virginia Plain too many times the day that i made that comment. i agree that Mr. Watts is an excellent drummer in the best rocknroll band in the world. but i notice, and enjoy, the drumming of Mr. Thompson better. It was merely a comparison that was a bit too oblique. sorry for any misunderstanding. The only other drummer i know who played on Rolling Stones albums in the late '60s and early '70s was the late Jimmy Miller, may he rest in peace.
@yobob270 The Stones put out a 'greatest hits' album in the spring of 1981 because they wanted an album to tour for their '81 usa tour, but Tattoo You wasn't ready for release. So they put out an album of some hits, some unreleased finished songs, some alternate tracks, and a live version or two of songs from the '78 tour. They called it Sucking in the Seventies. That was the name of the album. I bought a copy because i was stuck in Kansas without my stones collection that summer. it's not bad.
@007iamjesus THat is the least most obvious thing to say about this attention-seeking arsehole. It ruins the song and should not be featured on any Rolling Stones music.
this isn´t the best audio BUT the song is the BEST stones song ever!! this and beast of burden. no wonder mick is so skinny, jumping and running up and down all his life!! I have loved them since I was 11 and ever will!!
@alienhuman is this video from the Voodoo Lounge Tour? I saw them in Philadelphia in semptember '94 during that tour. it's the only time i've seen them. they've been my favorite rock band for 40 years. time or money often interfered. a truly great concert. they blew my wife and me away, and about 50,000 other people in Veterans Stadium on a rainy night. standing around 'second base,' we could actually see them. They were amazing: it was a deeply human experience, yet very alien at the same time.
It's funny, cause Mick never liked this song, but I think it's the best thing the Stones VCER di, it'd\s the epitomy of what "Stones" rock and roll is, attitude, bravado, stones "Gerth" it's all ther amn. not much better, maybe Zep & "The King"...
Sorry, had a few too many, that night & it was late and dark so I couldn't see the keyboard that well. I'm sure you can make out what I was trying to say...
so lame, not a bar band no more, big corporation band is all....mick's gonna die runnin around, and keith looks dead already.....goood music tho .....lol
what?! lame? corporation band? their the exact opposite. and if your going to be an idiot at least be consistent. you diss them and then say they have good music. make up your mind
It's amazing the way The Stones have that totally unique thing going...I mean everything just totally fits...the sound, the looks the songs. There's just nothing like The Rolling fuckin' Stones.
Here they are, at the height of their strength and with one of their best songs. Kind of like CCR on dangerous drugs. Man, listen to Eighties Music, and you'll never say that Seventies Music sucks, no not ever agin!
@hagsvet yes she isbut even more beautiful on the inside, her heart like gold, and she keeps me rocking. thanks for thr kind words, maybe one day you might luck up too peace ,keith richards
@nightskytube he was (is) a great player no doubt but you must admit if you watched the live shows with him he was just an immobile shoe-gazer compared to Ron.
No band could out do them, they are simply the best. They also lasted longer then any other band. And my god, these guys can rock. Long live the Stones.
What a concert THIS was! I'd subscribe, but You Tube sent me this message: 'You have too many subscriptions compared to your number of subscribers.' (Quote.) I keep up with my subscriptions! When I contacted them, I was told to 'drop some of your subscriptions, and then you can add new ones'. WTF? Anyway, thank you for posting this. It would have been posted to my favourites, otherwise. (They also think I have too many favourites.) Anal-retentive Nazi huns...
@platter1000 lol GOOD POINT!! Though they do say he looks like he's been dead for 20 years. Oh well, I masturbate at Marylin Monroe, and she's dead, so what the hell!!
Oh wait let's not forget Mr Wood. He's a sexy beast!!!!
@MichaelPalinFan2008 If it wasn't for Youtube, no one would be able to see and experience the greatest Music time in History...the '60's and '70's. All they would have is HipHopCrap, RavCrap, and Robot Acts during these Dark Ages.
The 70`s was the best decade for the Rock & Roll; Led Zeppelin, Queen, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Kiss, John Lennon, Elton John, T. Rex, Neil Young, UFO, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Lou Reed, Roxy Music, and much more artists, the Mostly of the best albums are of the 70`s

To all interested in know date & venue of this song (it was the second track played that night):
This concert was at Joe Robbie Stadium on Miami, Florida, USA on 25th November, 1994. "Hoodoo U Voodoo" it was a Pay-per-view-special aired on USA on the next day and, of course, pirated on many relases on VHS and DVDs.
