since the wheels are being forced to spin on basicly dry ground. the preassure put on the universal joins is also increased to have to force the wheels to slip....in the mud or off road its much differant as the terrain gives unlike solid pavement....Not to mention how hard your revvign the engine....I can hear it inthe video.. I have the same truck I know what the engine sounds liek under normal conditions....Good luck the warrenty is over!

I forget the exact leveling kit I got, I believe it was a Daystar kit, i got it on ebay for like $60. The cooper's I got were right around a 34' tire, I forget the metric size, too cold to walk outside and look haha. and again, I didn't do anything to the factory rear end, the truck has 3.73's with the factory limited slip, it always locks up when i do burnouts or lose traction. Even with the new tires I got, it spins them both :)

this is the exact truck i want! its super hard to find a 06 or newer black 4 door fx4 f150 with the black leather and floor shifter with low miles for a good price in my area. i want to do the same leveling kit because you truck sits perfect and i read in a 4x4 magizine with the 2.5 kit you can fit 35" tires. i want to black it out completly! and put loud pipes on it.

well bud im kinda in the same situation as you. i have a 05 cadillac dts with 300hp and im lookin to get a new vehical. i drove a 06 f150 2wd with the 300hp 5.4 but im tellin you its not the same! my car would smoke that f150 but it was a nice truck. i want a 4wd 4 door truck and i like fords but they have the slowest 1/2 ton pickup out. i would recomend driving the vehicals you want the way you want then decide. but its hard to beat a ford truck

FX4's come with limited slips in the rear from the factory, most 4x4's do. They arn't locked though. and I got the Cooper STT's.

i don't think the FX4 has rear lockers, my '03 only lets one tire spin when i cut the wheel and floor it, unless it's, wet or i'm off-road

so youre saying that ford's special off road edition doesnt offer lockers at all? no way..this video is a clear example of how that is wrong, this fx4 clearly has lockers on the rear, if your 03 only spins one tire it doesnt have a locker, which doesnt make much sense because you said when its wet or "offroad" itll spin both, which means it has lockers, which is it? lol

im not really sure to be honest lol, its probably limited slip on road, thats why when theirs traction only one spins and when theirs little traction, both spin! but when you put it in 4X4 it turns on its lockers electronically, at least thats what ive heard and read

it has a limited slip diff. the brand new 2009 f150 fx4 come with a full locking differential option

You can get it on other f-150s if it was ordered that way. But f-150 fx4s come stock with limited slip diffs.
