i have twins that are going on 5 now and when they were about 2-3 one of them almost ran off in the road and we were so scared cuz cars were going by fast. she just slipped right by 3 ppl and that's when i said its time to get a leash. i don't think its mean its just playing it safe so something like that never happens and the girls love there monkey "leashes" wech are monkeys so every time we go some where they grab there leashes.

The only time I'd put my kid on a leash is if they had problems with running off in public places, and even then it would only be in really crowded situations where I couldn't give that specific kid all my attention, like the mall, amusement parks etc. I think people that use leashes so they don't have to pay attention to their kids are pathetic.
