I saw this movie a long time ago and I must say its powerful and unforgettable as it is disturbing. I am a Catholic myself and even I must acknowledge the wrongdoings of the Catholic Chruch over the ages. Its wrong and hypocritical for ppl to blame terrorism on Islam when Christianity and Judiasum have been equally guilty of atrocities as well.

So many people on here seem to misinterpret videos!Its astounding.What the Kevin character did was rape,nothing less.A horrible,disgusting cowardly attack on anonther and NO woman 'tempts' or deserves such a terrible trauma.

What the film is portraying,for people unaware of the Catholic church's hold at the time was that ANY girl,pregnant before marriage etc, ie seen as 'unclean' was a sinner.Irrelevant of how it happned.Thankfully people have moved on mostly from fear and ignorance. Good film!

Did some research after watching this. What's really scary is that the last Magdelene Asylum closed in, what, the nineties? Also, Sinead O'Connor was sent to one, which explains some things. Lady knew what she was talking about. xD
