@59pedrod I have since changed my air cleaner and also remapped the ECU with a Screaming Eagle Race Tuner. You don't need to do this with just the pipes but you will get some backfiring and popping sounds due to it running a tiny bit leaner.
My suggestions would be to get the Air Cleaner and ECU done also as you will pick up a 10% power increase which is a lot for these old pushrod motors!
They are lacking power out of the factory so anything will help...
Good one mate! I didn't like the Pewter Silver Gloss until I saw it in the Denim version and fell instantly in love with this colour! Just have to put my air cleaner on it and do the ECU with a SE Pro Super Tuner. Stay upright my friend!
You do get a small performance gain and the biggest part of it is it eliminates the "flapper valve" in the rear pipe. This valve closes the rear pipe off so gasses get forced into the front pipe and back into the rear chamber for emission control ratings...sux!!! This is just smooth all the way through the rev range and does have a bit more instant power with less restrictions.. Hope this helps mate.
nice sound..! Ive got Big shots on my street bob, but im really wanting these in black for it. Do you know if they come with other baffles? like quiet baffles? Mine have quiet baffles in them but its still pretty damn loud.. but nice. Just worried these might be too loud... thanks!
I'm getting these next year, in black. I couldn't decided if I liked the look on a Street Bob. Now I know my Bob will look sexy with them on! Thanks for posting!
getting these pipes installed over this weekend, there killer.

Can you keep your mid controls on with these pipes?
Westyrulz 1 year ago
@Westyrulz No I think you loose the mid mounts due to the position and size of the pipe.
I'm 6'2" so mid mounts are no good for me and I put the forward controls on when I bought it new.

Looks great, sounds awesome.
I am wanting to fit them to my Fatboy
Tell me, did you have to do anything else to the bike to run with them, like fit a different air cleaner, retune etc????
Cheers

Notice performance gains? If so, can you describe?
