  • This is by far the best diorama I've seen. Keep up the good work.

  • The buildings are brilliant. I don't know what it looks like in real life, but if Band of Brothers is anything to go by, very accurate.

  • @safetyfirst70 Thanks. Most of the buildings were scratch built. It was our first experience in making them and we were real happy with the results.

  • Very good job!!! What are you doing now? Maybe next diorama is WESTERPLATTE 01.09.1939 .This is place in Poland.

  • @explozer9 We finished the Battle of Okinawa last year and we are about to start one for D-Day and Omaha Beach. Check out our Okinawa diorama when you get a chance.

  • Did you build alone? Same? How is an area? Which time?

  • @explozer9 The diorama was built by a team of 3 people. It is 12 feet by 24 feet and it took us about 12 months to build it.

  • i can also remember going to a museum there were they had a small diorama but the same scale as this one.

It showed a crossraod in the battle of the bulge with commanders looking at maps. a mechanic fixing his kubel car. and some tiger tanks moving along the road

  • you should do a hurtgen forrest diorama just before battle of the bulge.

  • wow amazing i live in holland in the south the ardennes is only half an hour away.

ive bin to bastogne en ardennes and this looks very good

  • @bleushift Thanks for the comments. We always like to hear from people who have actually been there. We had some pictures to use but a lot of it was from our imagination.

  • @3DMilitaryHistory no worries well i geus battle of the bulge is kinda typical pine threes and snow scenery.. still very nice done

  • Most of the figures and many of the models are made by Tamiya.

  • Any of these models made by Tamiya?

  • Yes, it's 1/35 scale. 12ft x 36ft, so it's pretty big.

  • @LPJuicebox Thanks for your comments. Our best tip is to take your time and not rush anything. It'll be worth it. Our Battle of the Bulge diorama took a year to finish. Have fun with your dad.

  • @3DMilitaryHistory hi. loved this, amazing, i could look at it all day...is it in 1 48 or 1 32 scale??

  • @broofer666 Everything on the ground is 1/35 scale. The airplanes are 1/48. We're glad you liked it.

  • I am making a world war 2 diorma on Tobruk( North Afrika) but I am in the really early stages and I will post it on youtube when its finished but it might not look really good because its my first diorama.

  • Dude words can not describe how well you've done on this. im quite a bit of a ww2 historian and I think you've really shown what these amazing men have been through. Great Job!

  • @Aozziegamer Thanks. Although it's not a true recreation of Bastogne, veterans of the Battle of the Bulge have told us the feelings they get looking at the diorama are very real.

  • Great diorama but how did you make the snow and buildings look sooo good?!?

  • @retroanteater Thanks. There's no secret, just experimentation, practice and patience.

  • This is amazing. I'm planning on doing a Iwo Jima diorama, and was wondering if you can give me a tip on how to make the explosion/smoke effect?

  • @Devi1DogCota The smoke was done with cotton and different shades of black and gray spray paint. Lots of trial and error.

  • @3DMilitaryHistory Ooh ok, it came out great. I'll have to try that. Thanks!

  • Very nice work, the talent and effort that went into creating this dio is very impressive. Great job!

  • @einaroneeye Thanks for the positive feedback.

  • where did you get the figures??? that's awsome

  • @AkinChOkO A lot of the figures came with the vehicle kits. The rest were kits of about 4 figures in various poses.

  • whats the scale?

  • @aguyfromsweden Everything on the ground is 1/35. The fighter aircraft are 1/48, the bigger ones are 1/72.

  • what did you use to make the trees?

  • @101stAirbornefilms We used roots and cuttings from live trees or bushes. To us, it gave the diorama a more natural look, plus it was cheaper and easier than buying or making them.

  • @SNIPZ86 Shell holes are everywhere but not very visible with this video. Yeah, we missed the foxholes. In hindsight, we should have planned the terrain to allow foxholes. We tried to create some at the end, but it was hard to make them look real. As for the infantry, I guess it depends on your definition of "hardly". There's probably 200 total troops in the diorama. At some point you run out of time. We might go back and add more, but we are working on some new projects for the museum.

  • incredible!!!

dude how you do the smoke of the destroyed tanks ?

  • @comissairevanloc The smoke is cotton and spray paint and lots of experimenting. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Who created this ?!? Coolest diorama ive ever seen.

  • @VertexKxL We are 3 guys from Indiana. Thanks for the positive comments.

  • WOOHOO!
