guys why dont you use 6.20 pro b5 permanent patch?its better than the other versions..even in psp 3000..you dont have to use updater when ur psp has been restarted..but make sure you are lower than 6.20 to update ur psp successfully..

Sorry for double posting. In short whenever I try to start a game or a programme, it says "This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted."

This happens after I followed your instructions to update the PSP to 5.03. My system is 5.00 M33-6 originally.

why did you do that? u had custom firmware and then u go and update to official firmware. Of course your games will not longer work.

I can install new custom firmware using this 5.03 Official Firmware, am I right to say that? I thought of installing either a 5.03 GEN-C or 5.50 GEN D-3 System. If I am not mistaken I can play ISO and CSO games with either of these two systems.

well you need to install cfw to play game backups. since you have a phat and u're at 5.03 follow my tutorial "How to install 5.50 gen d3 without pandora - phat" (or something like that) to install cfw to your psp.

of course! u're running 6.20 which is higher than 5.03, the system wont allow you to downgrade.

This worked absolutely perfectly on my 2001 model white Star Wars Renegade Squadron bundle. I followed the steps exactly, and got the exact same results as shown here.

I was using a small memory card, and didn't know at first that once the psp has been successfully updated to version 5.03, it IS okay to then remove the eboot from the update folder.
