@MrCarmaster1 I know most people say Vista sucks. But, it is running pretty good for me with only 512MB of RAM! I don't know why do they say it.. Microsoft improved many things in Vista. The only thing I dislike about Vista is the startup time. BUT, It takes only about 2 minutes for my computer to be ready to use. 2 minutes are not too much for a family PC that stays almost 24 hours on.

@Paraclete333 Vista on my laptop has a start-up time of like 25 seconds. Though, I agree that Vista does run very well. It has only crash for me once (2 years ago). It then never happened again. Vista maybe insecure and irritating but heck, you can fix that. Right?

For a start, XP is a lot simpler than Vista. 7 on the other hand, makes life eaisier (apparantly, and it does), and 7 has a super bar, instead of a taskbar, and they all have different themes, like XP has lunar, Vista has Aero, and i don't know what the windows 7 theme is to be honest. there's not reli any REAL difference (personal opinion) cuz its the same part frm the task bar and a few random useless features that no one will use and experienced users will just turn off, such as the snap to side feature, and also it works with old printers and such, but thats just about the extent of it, and to get old stuff to work with vista u just need the ryte drivers and updates, not hard.

The reason "vista" seems to slow to people is because of their crappy rams if you had atleast 1.5gb ram vista would be way faster than xp by a million light years. XP is only guaranteed better by the less annoying UAC (User account control) popups. Rather than the one in vista you get everything asked for permission. So Vista is technically better in technology.

you dont really need ultimate for dreamscenes, try to find a patched version of stardock dreamscape, that allows any version of vista ( with aero enabled ) to have moving wallpapers :)

you need to have Windows Vista Ultimate to have the moving background (Dreamscene). u can have dreamscene on Vista Basic (and XP i think) but u need to download a program, Stardock DeskScapes i think it's called

There's someting called dreamscene you need to download. You have to pay for it & it's only availible for Windows Vista Ultimate. However. You can get one for a lesser edition of Windows Vista & it's called Desk Scapes. It's cheaper than Dream Scene (1/2 the price). & I don't think you can get a special version of it leagally for Windows XP.
